Accounting poLicies
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS
102} - Accounting and Reporting by Charities- Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 (effective 1
January20191 and the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
As permitted by charity law, the charity has prepared its financial statements under the
receipts and payments basis of accounting. This is a form of 8Gcounting that consists of a
Sutnmary of all monies received and paid vi8 the bank and in cash bythe charity during its
financial y88r. along with a statement of balances.
The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities.
Cash and cash equivalents includes cash and bank accounts with immediate access to
funds.

Unrestricted funds
Unrestricted funds are held for the furtherance of the charity's objectives and are
expendabl8 at the discretion of the Trustees.
Related PartyTransactions
The charity was under the control of the board of trustees through out the year. The charity
Trustees were not paid or received any benefits from employment with the charity in the year,
neither were they reimbursed expenses during the year. Any connection between a Trustee or
senior manager of the charity with organisations the charity works with must be disclosed to the
full Board of Trustees in the same way as any other contractual relationship with a related party.
During the period the Association ot Friends of the South Ulster Youth Orchestra and Band did
not enter into anytransactions with related parties.
Golng Concern
At the time of approving the f inancial statements, the trustees have a reasonable expectation
that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational exlstence for the foreseeable
future. Thus the trustees continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing
the financial statements.
Trustee Remuneration
None of the trustees received any remuneration or were paid any expenses during the year.
