Duty of Prudence Knocknagoney Parish Church is bound by the Church of Ireland "Duty of Prudence" guidelines for church trustees to ensure that the parish is and remains solvent and by annual accounting principles to remain a going concern. Our aim has been to keep suff icient free reserves to provide. as per good practice guidelines for charities, cover for between 3-6 months in relation to known liabilities. Our Purposes Knocknagoney Parish Church along with other stakeholders in the local area continue to work togetherto come alongside the local community: helping to improve the quality of (ife of residents in the parish. The operation and functions of the parish relate to aiding education and assisting people in need. Brigade; Slimmingworld; Summer Kid's Club; Sunday School; Knockn8gon8y Prlm8ry School religious groups and Prayer Spaces; Palace Barracks family Pastoral care: In addition to the use of the hall by community groups and for celebrations and parties etc. This all aids in the building of rel8tionships and involvement with people in the local area. Underthe title of KnocknagoneyArea Forum (KAF) we work alongside Garnerville Presbyterian Church. Church of God, Knocknagoney Primary School and the Community Centre. There has also been good support for KAF from Tesco, Knocknagoney. KAF are involved with health, housing, environment etc. through everydaywork and through engagement with councillors and MLAS. Central to what we do as a church are Christian principles based on love: for each other within the church and for the people outside. A number of our parishioners have started and continue to run a Parents and Toddlers group . As a church we meet for prayer. to bless the churches and our community. This is done before our Sunday morning service and on a regularweekly basis alongwith Garnerville Presbyterian Church. Prayer is central to what we do. Flnances and Election of CharltyTrustees All Church members are invited to attend the Generalvestry or Parish AGM. Those who attended have been presented with the Church's accounts for the year and have been involved in the election of Select Vestry members who constitute the Trustees of the Charity. Throughout the course of the year the Church's activities have fallen within the above purposes, in accordance with guidelines from the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. We are pleased to be an integral part of the local community and lookfopNard to developing our relationships. Ourthanks go to all in our Church who have been so supportive through this year.
