Governance
Glendurragh Childcare Services Limited has a responsibility to conduct its business efficiendy. The
establishment of, and the strict adherence to sound financial management policies is an integral part of
the organisation. The Board of directors and Management Committee are committed to establishing,
maintaining and applying all necessary good practice to ensure that their duty of care to the
management of finances of the organisation are fulfilled. The Board of directors are responsible for
t8king the stralegic decisions of how the Charity will move forvrdrd and who also are responsible for
appointments to the board.
It is essentlal that Glendurragh Childcare Servlces Llmited control all operational risks as far as is
possible. This includes the participation of a51 th08e involved directly or irKlirectly with the banking
arrangements for the organisation. Along wtth the financial systems of the organisation. this policy
aims to detail responsibilities, risk managemen( internal controls, and audit requirements associated
wilh the use of online banking.

Tha objects of the Company shall be to enhance the development and education of young children by

rlght of parentslcarers to take responsSbillty for and to become involved In the activities of the
Company. ensuring that the Company offers opportunltles for all chSldren regardle88 of religion, cultur8,
race or means. b) Encouraging the study of the needs of such chllden and their families and prom￿Ing
publlc interest in and recognition of the needs of such children and thair families in tha local area. c)
Providing the necessary facilities for the daily care, recreation and educalion of children during out of
8¢hool hours and School holiday8. d) Providing trainlng for parents. volunteers and carers of children Sn
chlld development. parenting and other 8pproprlate recreatlonal arKI educational subjects.

(a) Is to provlde approprlate play faclllll8s and equal opportunitk88 to all chiklren who use our centre.
To encourage parents and carers to become involved in acttvities held within the centre. Direct benefrt
to all chlklren re9ardle8a of religlon, Culture, raGe or means so that they may have an opportunlty to
develop and enhance their education and social skilb. To prepare the ¢hildren for the transition to
nursery school and then to primary xhool. The direct benefrt which from Purpose (b} is to
encourage development and education to both childlparenucarer within the North Femianagh area. To
actively promote awareness to children and parentslcareers the importance of their child's needs
during development to provide the b8St Start in lrfe and to encourdge them lo reach their full potentl81.
The direct benefit which flow from Purpose (c) Is to ensure that we have facilities to provide care to
children who attend primary school, during temi and non tenn time. Provide a facilty for the care of
chlldren durlng school holldays. A place In whlch they can meet socialty to bulld on relations with Ihelr
fellow peers. To be actively involved in recr&itional and educational development. To build on thelr
own of Identlty so that each child feels a 8ense of beloNJing and social inGlusion wiihin thelr own
community. The direct benefrt which fl¢xv from Purpose
(d) 18 to provide training for parents, volunteer8 and carer8 of children. To encourage parents,
volunteers and careers of children to attend such training to further understand the development needs
of children and to rais8 awareness of meeting the child's social and emotional development. A private
benefit to directors may arise from a programme of (Mgoing trdining in good govemance etc. Through
this training directors gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. Thes&
benefits are incidentsl and nec&8sary to ensure the benefit is provided to our baner￿laries

Achlevaments and perforniance
The charity continued to Operate throughoui tha year and meet the objectivas that it was set up to
achieve as listed above.
Flnanclal rovlew
Revlew of the Buslness
The Company is non-profit making with a net deficit of £6.044 for the year. The management continue
to be engaged in ongoing eff￿lenCy savings and is aware of the sustalnable use of resources.
Reservo3 Pollcy
The trustees of Glendurragh Childcare Services Llmtted have set a reserves pollcy which requlre that
reserves be maintained at a level which ensures that the charivs core activity could contlnue during a
period of unforeseen drflicultly and to assist in the future strategic development of the organlsation.
The trustees have agreed that the Charity should endeavour to hold reservo8 at an amount not lo38
than £50,000 in an effort to minimise the risks Klent1f￿d by the charty.

This report has been prepared In accordance with the provlsion8 applicable to companie8 entltled to
the small companies exemption.
