The members are responsible for preparing the annual report and the financial statements in

The law applicable to charltie5 in Northern Ireland requires the member5 to prepare the financial
statements that give a true and falrvlew of the state affalr5 of the charlty at the end of the flnanclal
year and of its surplus or deflclt for the financial year. In dolng so the member are requlred to..

The Management Committee present their report and the financial statements for the year ended
31 March 2024.

Top of the Hill Youth Football Club Is a Junior club who play in the Derry & Dlstrlct Youth Leagues
with teams from age S to 16 years and our senior men's team play In the Derry & D15trlct Sunday
Mornlng League. It is run by a team of local volunteers. The club acts as a soclal focus In an area of
high deprivation. It encoura8es children of all talents to join and particlpate In football. ThrouBh this
it rai5e5 motivation and morale for all. It also encourages teamwork and dlsclpline in all. our purpose
as a Club Is to assist the young people of the Greater Top of the Hlll area to not only develop their
football skllls, but to build Good relations, to brln8 about attitudinal chan8e towards others and
continue a proce55 of community healinB throu8h sport.
The Club was established to promote the beneflt of chlldren, young people and adults in the
Gobna5cale area of Derry (hereinafter called "the area of benefit"} and to educate and a551st such
people through their leisure-tlme activities 50 to develop thelr physical, mental and 5plrltual
capacitles and that their condition5 of Ilfe Improve.
The objectlves are to improve posltlve educational outcomes, Increase social skllls, Improvement In
emotion31 health and well-beinB and increase in splrltual development In the lives of the children,
youn8 people and adults in the Gobnascale area of Derry. Thls purpose will 8150 provlde an overall
Improvement in community life. The objectlves are demonstrated through regular monltorlng and
evaluatlon forms for each of our fundlng bodies, attitudinal surveys and baseline Informallon from
our beneflclaries, feedback from beneficiary evaluatlon forms and statlstlcs from relevant
communlty. voluntary and statutory bodies Is any harm or posslbility of harm outwei8hed by the
benefit. The maln beneficlarles are children, young people and adults in the Greater Top of the Hlll
area of Derry Clty.

We have examined your charity accounts as required under Sectlon 65 of the Charities Act
and our examination was carried out in accordance wlth the general Dlrections given by the
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under Sectlon 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act.
Our examlnation Included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
Gomparlson of th? account8 presented with those records. It also included conslderatlons
of any unusual Items or disclosures In the accounts, and seeking explanatlon from you as
charity members concerning any such matters.
Our role is to state whether any material matter8 have come to our attentlon glvlng us
cau8e to belleve;
1. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with Section 63 of the
Charitles Act.
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records.
