Trustees Annual Report for 2022
Omagh Evangelical Presbyt8rian Church exists to proclaim and advance the Christian
Faith, in accordance with our Subordinate Standards: the Westminster Confession of
Faith, and the Shorter and Larger Catechisms, and all this to the benefit of people, both
young and old, in Omagh and the wider world.
During 2022, with all government Coronavirus restrictions now lifted, we returned almost
complet8ly to our regular programme of church services and other activities. These
included our weekly worship services, our Sunday School and Bibles Classes, our
midweek Bible Study and Prayer meeting, our monthly youth rally, and our monthly
Ladies Bible Study. During the year we also enjoy8d visits from various Missionary
Organisations. We were able to have a Christmas dinner for members and friends of the
congr8gation, and we had our Carol service, which was w811 attended by people from the
wider community. We have continued to live-stream our Sunday seNices for the benefit of
those who not able to attend th8 meetings.
In addition to the abov8. we also hosted two specials meetings for ladies, one of which
dealt with the issu8 of d8pr8ssion. Both meetings were w811 attended by ladies from the
wider community. We also established a men's fellowship, which meets on a monthly
basis for Bible study and mutual 8ncourag8mant.
The Omagh congregation has been able to provid8 £35,000 to the central fund of the
Evangelical Presbyterian Church for the support of its Ministers. We have also been able
to give over £2,500 to various Christian Missionary organisations.
The work and witness of Omagh Evangelical Presbyterian Church is founded on the
authority of the Holy Scriptures that rev8al God's love for mankind in the person and work
of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of sinners, and this we believe to have been the
cas8 during 2022 despite the extraordinary difficulties faced during the year.
