## Activities

**Purposes:** The Charity’s objects (‘the Objects’) are to:-  (1) Relieve the suffering of, and assist and support, survivors/victims of physical, sexual or mental abuse suffered whilst in the care of institutions, without distinction of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnic identity, or religious or political opinion by: (a) providing or assisting in the provision of counselling and other therapeutic services; (b) providing advice, information and a signposting / referral service; (c) encouraging and facilitating the development of mutual support networks; (d) operating a drop-in centre; (e) advocating on behalf of, and representing the views of, such survivors/victims.  (2) Raise awareness among the public about the nature, extent and effects of institutional abuse, its impact on individuals and the community and ways of preventing or relieving the suffering it causes.
