The trustees present their Trustees Report under the Charities SORP in accordance with financial reporting standards and the financial statements for the year ended 31[st] March 2024 are also prepared in accordance with the aforementioned Statement of Recommended Practice.

Objectives and Activities
To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Burren and surrounding area without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinion by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to:
(a) promote amateur sport and participation in healthy recreation with the aim of improving their health and well being.
(b) provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for those living in the area of benefit;
(c) promote community development by providing facilities and support for community and voluntary groups and organisations and encouraging and assisting such organisations to cooperate to achieve their aims;
(d) relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability or other disadvantage;
(e) advance education and training;
(f) promote good community relations and social cohesion, racial harmony and equality and diversity.
Achievements and Performance
Burren Vision has made a significant contribution since 2014 to improving the levels of physical development and education of adults and young people within the Burren Area. The charity continues to secure funding for future services and infrastructure in a bid to roll out such services.
Financial Review
The Charity recorded Net Incoming Resources of £82K for the year ended 31[st] March 2024 which has been taken to the Income and Expenditure Account. Expenditure of £62k on Activities for Generating Funds has also been taken to the Income and Expenditure Account leaving a Net Surplus for the year of £19k. The Charity therefore recorded Net Reserves at 31[st] March 2023 of £43,720 (2022: £23,797).
Structure, Governance and Management
Governing Document
Burren Vision is a Registered Charity and is governed by the terms of its constitution, which was adopted by the membership on 25[th] March 2014. Burren Vision is registered with the Charities Commission (Charity No. 10201) registered on 20 May 2015.

Management Committee
The objectives and activities of the Charity are administered by a Management Committee of not less than 3 members of the association and who were elected at the Annual General Meeting.
