Covenant Protestant Reformed Church, Ballymena

Trustees Report April 2022-2023

This last year the church has continued to promote the Biblical and Reformed faith summarised in our Reformed creeds, locally in Ballymena, Northern Ireland and also all around the world through our website, literature and books. All the families from Limerick, where our mission closed in March 2020 have moved to join us alongside a couple of local families.. We preach the gospel twice each Sunday in Ballymena, we have administered the sacraments namely the Lord’s Supper and baptism, and the gospel message goes out all around the world through our website, literature and books. We are about to finish our catechism season and begin annual family visitation with our Annual General Meeting scheduled before pastor leaves to speak at our sister church’s camp in Singapore in June. Children born in our congregation are brought up in the Christian faith with the aim of seeing them becoming professing members of the church.

We hold twice weekly mixed church Bible studies and informal Saturday night studies every three weeks. We continue to purchase airtime on local radio to broadcast every Sunday the “Reformed Witness Hour.” We have sold books and distributed free literature worldwide as well as CDs and DVDs, etc. We propagate sermons and teaching material online around the world. Our You Tube channel has over 1,700 subscribers. Our translations pages encompassing over 200 different languages now contain over 3,600 items. We regularly correspond with and answer questions from people worldwide. Our aim is to grow in knowledge of the Triune God of Scripture and see relatives and friends converted. In our church, those who are already converted confessing members we seek edification and growth in faith, hope and love, likewise in our believing contacts all around the world. Feedback demonstrating benefit includes a uniform appreciation of the faithful ministry in our church, demonstrated by the many appreciative letters*, e-mails, phone calls, Facebook messages alongside financial donations from N. Ireland, the rest of the UK, Europe and worldwide thanking us for our website material which includes You Tube videos, audios, books, CDs, DVDs, free pamphlets, monthly Covenant Reformed News, on-line articles, worldwide translations into scores of languages etc., not only individuals but also families and groups of believers in fellowships and churches have benefitted.
