Structure, Governance and Management Governin Document and Constitution of Charit Chapter111 of the Constitution of the Church of Ireland governs Parishes and Parochial Organisations. The Select Vestry members elected by the parish are the Charity Trustees,. Recruitment and A ointment of Select Vest All members of the Church of Ireland who are aged 18 and over, are either resident within the parish or live elsewhere and have become accustomed members of the parish for at least three months, may register as members of the General Vestry of the Parish. Registered General Vestry Members are allowed to attend and vote at meetings of the General Vestry and to stand for election to the Select Vestry. Meetings of the General Vestry are held at least once a year. The Select Vestry is elected as part of an Annual General Vestry Meeting and hold their positions for a period of one year. Select Vestry members may be re-elected annually and there is no limit on the number of terms which may be served. The maximum number of Select Vestry members is 16 excluding clergy. and Renumeration Since August 2022 the parish is part of the Inner South Belfast Mission Area, along with St Simon's and St Mary Magdalene. Trustees, Annual Statement and will continue to look to inviting all in our communities to such gatherings. Special seniices were also held across the Grouping for the Comrnemoration of the Battle of the Somme, and the local Sandy Row Orange Lodge 5. Outreach and mission - we have developed a new vision statement of 'reaching the lost, building the church, for God's glory,. The work of the church is to its local community and we are seeking to build new connections alongside those already developed in our area. 6. Community engagement - we engage regularly with Blythefield Primary School, with clergy on the rota for school assembly visitations and representatives of the parish on the Board of Governors 7. Pastoral care - the pastoral care of parishioners is of utmost importance, attending in particular to those who are hospitalised, housebound, and recently bereaved. Clergy attend to funerals in the area, providing services in the home, the funeral home, or the parish as and when required Increasingly our activities are shared and promoted by all three parishes and include the Thursday afternoon club, the Thrift Shop and a Baby Club and Mother and Toddler groups organised by our Family Worker in conjunction with Sure Start based in St Mary Magdalene. The parish continues to support Christian charities as part of our mission disbursements, whilst many of our parishioners supported Christian mission agencies and charities. We continue to promote generosity and support for charities as part of the disciple of Christian living. ststement of Trustees, Responsibilities The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report, the Statement of Income and Expenditure, and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to Charities in Northern Ireland with income less than £250,000.00 requires the Trustees to prepare the Statement of Income and Expenditure, and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities for each financial year. The Trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the Parishes transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the Assets and Liabilities of the Parish.
