Objectives and Activiti•s- The purpose of the charity is to;
1. To offer valuable. practical help and conb"nuou$ 5UPPOrt to the Grant brothws from Killowen who suffer from
Duchenne Musculaf Dystrophy (Duehennel and their parents.
2. To offer Support and advice lo other Duchenne families in the Newrylmourne Distr￿ Couribil Ar¥
3. To raise funds in the South Dovm area by local events and avrdreness of need for more funding.
4. To use these events lo Greate awareness of Duchenne in the cornrnunty via radiolpTessfinterneVsocial

In setting our objectives and planning Iwr ￿tiVitieS for the year the tnjslees have given car&ful ¢ons¥Jeration to the
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's gvKlarte on public benefiL to ensure that the aCti￿ts"e5 h8ve helped to
achieve the charity's purpos8 and pmwde 8 benefit to the bene￿laries.

The charity have continued to sU￿sS￿lI￿ raise fijnds in the I￿1 area. The annual 'rniles for rnuscles, wn was onc8
again a very su¢¢essfvl and enjoyable day. The charrty O￿aniSed a trip to Disneyland for its benef￿larieS which
uld not have b8en possble wthout the help ofthe charity.
Flnanclal Revlew
The charity incurred a defici( of £3,611 for the year ended 30* September 2018 mainly due lo the on&off co819 in
rol￿tion to tho trip to Dign@yl2nd. At th• y•*r 4ndgd SoPt0mboT 2018 the charrty had rg¢orv¢w of £69,800, oll of
whi¢h is unrestricted funds. These funds a￿ hekl in order to meet expècted future expenses should incorning
resources dirnini5h or were targets a￿ nol &hieved in the hope that better treatrnent or even a cure for Du¢h8nne
may b8coTh availab￿ in the fijture.
