lor the year ended 31 December 2024.
The financial slalements for the year ended 31 December 2024 follow on page 6, and they are pr￿ded by

Omagh Community Youth Choir is a Northem Ireland based charilable company, limited by guarantee.
incorporated on 12 January 2004. The Company regislralion number is N1049255. The organisatr.on is
registered with the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland. The registration number is 101955. The
charitable company is also registered wilh HM Revenue & Custom5. The HMRC Charities reference is
N100743. The principal office is the registered office. 68 Hospital Road. Omagh. Co Tyrone, B T79 ODA
The company was established under a Memorandum of Association which es¢ablishes the objects and
powers of the charitsble company and 15 govemed under its Artides of Association.
The company has one trusleeldirector, Mr Daryl Jon Simpson. The company secretary is Ms Deirdre
McNamee.
Objectives and activities - Charitable purposes
The Company's objects are to provide a vehicle for young people from differing religious. cultural and social
backgrounds lo join in song and performance.
How tha charity works
Omagh Community Youth choir comprises male and female members who are 16-21 years and are from all
seelions of the local community. and are represenlakn.ve of all the local post primary scfiools. The choir uses
choral music lo promote peace and reconciliation through tnusic. The choir perfomis al local. national and
international events. spreading this fflessage of peace and feconciliation.They are also available lo aid and
support through their performances. fundraisrng events for other community groups aod individuals with
likeminded values. The choir performs at events throughout the year and also have under lake tours on an
international level. Trips lo dale have included England. Switzerfand. and the USA on several occasions.

Public Beneftt statement
The purpose of Omagh Community Youth Choir is to provide a vehscle for young people from differing
religious, cultural and social backgrounds lo join in song and perfomiance.
The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include bringing people together in a social. community or arts
project or perfomiance. The Choir may also volunteer service5 for perfomiances which will generate funds
to benefit such a charity. church or individual. All perfomiances and events are choserT With the purpose of
promoting peace and reconciliation and generaling community and social interaction for the benefit of all
participants and concert attendees. Benefits also include providing a safe and friendly plarform which will
give members an opportunity lo develop their skills as singers and musicians. The emphasis is on
improving and working as a group but there is also ts.me to support and develop as individuals. The Choir
encourages and develops citizenship within the members of the choir so that they may develop leadership
sk￿lIS and mutual understanding.
These benefits can be demonstrated by the comprehensive list of performance dales since the choir's
inception. International tours and trips which help bond the members and help promote a positive message
of Northem Ireland in the local, national and inlemab'onal communikn"es. Not only do choir members benefit,
bul member families also benefit through the close co- operation in helping lo achieve the aims of the choir.
The effect that performances have on the general public have given much positivity and inspiration lo
others, as well as entertainment through the music.
The purposes of our charity will not lead to any hami.
The charity s beneficiaries are members of the public who come along lo public perfomiances, choir
members and families who take a full role in the participatin9 and development of the thoir objectives,
church groups, schools and other small community based organisations who ask us lo perform al functions.
There are no private benefits flowing from the purF)ose.
Taxation status
The organisation is a registered charity, and we have Iherefore daimed exemption from tax.
Achlevements and performance
We are progessing on our objectives and targets and believe thal our work is providing a great benefit to
the Ioc81 community, especially in the wake of Ihe Covid-19 pandemic and the current econon7ic crisis in the
country.
Financial review
The organisalion seen a significant rise in income and expenditure in the year ended 31 December 2024.
The Iruslees believe that the charity is in a strong financial posib.on and are confident the reserrfes of the
company are of a sufficient level to be able to continue the activities of the charity and 10 Serve their
beneficiaries for many years lo come.
The unreslricled reserves are available for use al the discrelion of the trustees in furtherance of the general
objectives of the charity.
Finance reserves are set aside to protect the charity against drops in income. The balance in the charIt￿S
bank account al the balance sheet dale is £38,909.

At the annual general meeting it was pioposed that Tyrone Accouniancy Services Ltd woul(J be re*lecled
as accounlanlslindependent examiner for the incoming year.
Small company provisions
The report has been prepared in accordanee with ihe provisions in Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006
applicable to companies subject lo Ihe small companies regime.

The Iruslees are responsible for preparing the Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance
with applicable law and regulation5.
