## **– Constitution Structure, Governance and Management**

The charities aims and objectives are as laid out in its Constitution, dated 18[th] December 2008, which are to promote the Christian faith through worship services. For the furtherance of this aim, regular activities are carried out and invitations given to the public. The finances are raised purely from the congregation’s contributions and Gift Aid.

The current Board of Trustees constitutes two members and is chaired by Pastor Adam Claxton. He is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of the charity, but the Trustee retain the collective responsibility for major financial decisions in conjunction with Pastor Adam Claxton and board meetings are held regularly through the year. The Board of Trustees is authorized to appoint new Trustees to fill vacancies through resignation or death

of an existing trustee until the following AGM, whereupon the members will be invited to vote.

## **Public Benefit**

The trustees have considered the Charity Commissions guidance on public benefit and in particular, the commission’s guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. As a result of our faith, we willingly and consistently reach out to welcome visitors to our church. We aim to help ordinary people live out their faith as part of our fellowship through worship and prayer, learning about the gospel and developing their knowledge and trust in Jesus Christ, and the challenge to live for God and be obedient to do His will as revealed in scripture.

As a Christian organization our aim is to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ firstly in our local community and surrounding areas, as well as supporting missionary work. We aim to make a positive contribution in our local community by inviting the general public to concerts, drama productions, church services, bible studies, prayer services for the sick, regular marriage guidance meetings as well as a children’s Sunday School.

All these activities are in conjunction with our regular church services. All organized activities and events are of a non-profit basis and are funded by the church through offerings and donations.

## **Achievements and Performance**

The trustees consider that the stability of the church and the finances received, have been consistent.

Our Sunday morning and evening worship services, children’s Sunday school and an adult bible study are currently held at 2A Derryvolgie Avenue, Belfast, County Antrim, BT9 6FL. Several of the adults and teenagers have active roles in the worship services. The younger congregational members have also been hosting concerts, at various locations in and around Belfast reaching out to local communities with the message of Jesus Christ. We have seen a number of people water baptized and added to the church during the year.

We have a crèche for children from birth to three years of age during our worship services, to enable parents to participate in the services knowing that their children are being well cared for. All those working with children have been vetted by AccessNI with regards to suitability.

We have also been able to continue our commitment to support world missions.

## **Plans for the future**

The church will continue to develop and grow in its ability to impact our local community. We have moved into a new location where we hold our regular services along with other

events. This has enabled us to continue our focus on promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ and making a positive contribution to the local community.

## **Financial Review**

The church benefits greatly from the generosity and support of its members through their regular giving and we would like to thank all those who over the last twelve months have supported the ministry with their regular tithes and offerings, as well as their giving to world evangelism.

The charities policy is to maintain sufficient unrestricted funds to cover the next month’s expenditure. This requirement has been met continually throughout this financial year. Our accounts are now independently examined by A McCrory & Co Ltd Chartered Accountants & Registered Auditors as the previous company we used, Omer Adam Accountants based in City East Business Centre, has been dissolved.

## **Private Benefit Arising from the Activities of the Church**

No trustee benefits from any of the activities of the church, except for Pastor Adam Claxton who is contracted by the church for the provision of teaching, guidance, and supervision to the church on a continuous basis.

This report was approved by the Trustees on 16[th] June 2026.
