**Purposes:** “For the education of poor children and young persons in the Parish of Kirkinriola and neighbourhood in the manner and subject to the conditions and provisions herein prescribed;   a)   To make grants, as the Governors see fit, to pupils of limited means within the area of benefit, for the continuation or advancement of their education or further education. b)    To make grants to aid pupils attending any school within the area of benefit to participate in school visits, tours and courses of an educational value.  c)   To make grants to aid pupils attending any school within the area of benefit to travel in Great Britain or abroad for educational purposes where grants are not available from public sources. d)   To make grants for the provision of prizes in any school within the benefit area”.  “For the benefit of poor Widows belonging to the Moravian Society at Gracehill”
