The Provincial Grand Lodge of Londonderry and Donegal Masonic Welfare Fund, constituted by
a declaration of Trust made on 17th June 2004 and varied on 14 December 2011, accepted as a
charity by HM Revenue & Customs under reference number XN805 l4 and registered with the
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland on 26th May 2015 under charity number NIC 101907.

The charity's purposes are detailed within the constitution and can be summaries as.
l. To relieve in cases of need, hardship or distress Freemasons and the widows and
other dependents of deceased Freemasons principally within the Masonic Province of
Londonderry and Donegal.
2. To provide financial assistance to other duly constituted Masonic Charities,
3. To provide financial assistance to any person or body for any charitable pury)ose as
defined in article 2 of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by th¢ Charity Commission
for Northern Ireland.
During the year ended 31 yl December 2024 the charity has conducted the following activities in
furtherance ot. its activities for the public benefit;
l. Awarded six grants to brethren and the families of brethren to assist with various ill
health, disability and financial needs.
2. Made donations to the following local charities, Motor Neurone Disease Association
NI, St Vincent De Paul, The Salvation Arn]y, Foyle Food Bank, The Olive Branch,
The Simon Community and the Donegal Hospice.
3. Made donations to two other Masonic Charities.
The results of the charity's activities during the year and of its position at the year end are
included in the Receipts and payments account on page 5 and the Ststement of &ssets and
liabilities on page 6. The trustees are thankful for the support of the brethren forniing the
membership of the charity and their guests, through their continued generous donations which
are used to further the charity's purposes, which have been detailed al)ove.

We report on the accounts of The Provincial Grand Lodge of Londonderry & Donegal
Masonic Welfare Fund for the year ended 31 December 2024. which are set out on pages 5 to
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is our responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Commission
under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act
state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
We hav¢ examined your charity accounts as requir¢d under section 65 of the Charities Act
and our examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
Our examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of
any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as
charity trustees concerning any such matters.
Our role is to state whether any material matters have come to our attention giving us cause
to believe:
l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of
the Chariti¢s Act
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting r¢quirements of
the Charities Act
4. That there is further information needed for a proper understandin8 of the
accounts to be reached.
