For the year ended 31 December 2023 (cont'd) The charity's purposes are detailed within the constitution and can be sumrnaries as; l. To relieve in cases of need, hardship or distress Freemasons and the widows and other dependents of deceased Freernasons principally within th¢ Masonic Province of Londondery and Donegal. 2. To provide fllwicial assistance to other duly constituted Masonic Charities. 3. To provide financial assistance to any person or body for any charitsble purpose as defmed An article 2 of The Charities Act tNorthern Ireland 2008]. The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. During the year ended 3 1st December 2023 the charity has conducted the following activities in furtherance of its activities for the public benefit: l. Awarded seven ants to brethren and the families of brethren to assist with various ill health, disability and financial needs. 2. Made donations to the following local charities, St Vincent De Paul, The Salvation Anny, Foyle Food Bank and the Donegal Hospice. 3. Made donations to two other Masonic Charities. The results of the charity's activities during the year and of its position at the year end are included in the Receipts and payments account on page 5 and the Statement of assets and liabilities on pa8e 6. The trustees are thankful for the support of the brethren forn]ing the membership of the charity and their guests, through their continued geneTOUS donations which are used to further the charity's purposes, which have been detailed above.
