Annual Chairperson’s Report
September 2022 – August 2023
This year we welcomed Ms Creighton as our parent – teacher representative and we would like to offer a special thanks to Ms Crieghton for all her encouragement and support throughout the year. A special word of thanks also to all the staff at Glasswater, teaching and non-teaching, for their continued support and enthusiasm. The PTA has really felt part of the team in the school, and we thank you, Mr Milligan for making us feel welcome, supported and valued.
September 2022 was our first school year after Covid with limited restrictions and we felt we could plan our fundraising for each term more freely. Events and items were organised throughout the year to both support the school financially and to ensure all the children all had fun and made happy memories.
These events and celebrations simply would not happen if it wasn’t for the dedication, passion and encouragement from a wonderful group of parents and grandparents who have worked so hard and given up their time for the benefit of all the children in Glasswater. We truly have a brilliant team who have a heart and enthusiasm for our whole school community. So to those of you who are able to make the meetings and
are on site for the school events and to those who help from home and engage in the communications over WhatsApp, bake and send things into school – a huge THANK YOU!

Harvest / Halloween. Our Autumn at Glasswater item invited the children to carve a pumpkin. The pumpkins were displayed in the yard and lit up one evening. Families were encouraged to drive or walk by to see the display. Photo booth area created in the hall and the porch was decorated. We had a scarecrow trail around the village for the children and each child was given a gifted toffee apple. A money donation was taken on the morning of the crazy hair day / dress up. Just Giving
A wonderful year for the children again this year. Thank you for making my first year as Chairperson a very happy and positive one. Thank you to last years outgoing chair, Kathryn for her handover and support throughout this year. To Sarah for her all her determination and work with the accounts and all her effort liaising with Danke Bank. Thank you to Rachel for her encouragement, knowledge, and support as our super secretary. A special thank you to the wonderful Sara in the school office. No task is too big for Sara and she has been a brilliant support and friend to the PTA. Finally, to each person on our amazing committee – without you all – such things mentioned above simply wouldn’t happen. THANK YOU ALL.
