The Plum Club Annual Report 2026

This is The Plum Club’s Trustees Annual Report as required by the Charity Commission NI. This relates to the financial year 1[st] April 2025 to 31[st] March 2026.

Structures, Governance and Management

The Plum Club, based at 11a Main Street, Plumbridge, is registered with the Charity Commission NI under the number 101871. It is governed by its constitution. In the financial year no new Trustees were appointed, and none resigned. The committee was approved by the AGM and continues to monitor its membership. The Management Committee which administers the Plum Club meets throughout the year as required.

Public Benefit

In relation to all of the NAMED ACTIVITIES AND PURPOSES OF The Plum Club, the direct benefits HAVE INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING:

To relieve poverty and to promote the benefit preservation and protection of health among older people and those in need in Plumbridge and its environs.

This reporting period, The Plum Club had another very busy year with different craft classes, knitting, felting, crochet, jewellery making, ceramics, painting etc. Cookery demonstrations and gardening workshops. We went to Butterlope farm to try and make table mats from sheep’s wool. We had the Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council out to visit the group and try his hand at felting. We attended a tea dance in Plumbridge Parochial Hall organised by Glenelly Development Trust as part of the Care Project. We went on our annual outing to Portstewart, Portrush and a trip to Omagh. We continue to work in partnership with Glenelly Development Trust.

Financial Review

The Plum Club received funding from Derry City and Strabane District Council, SSE Airtricity and The Halifax Foundation.

We would like to thank our volunteer drivers and helpers, their support is vital to the continued operation of this much needed service.

I would also like to thank my fellow committee members for their continued support throughout the year.
