Food for Thought Africa Annual trustees, report (continued) For the year ended 5 Apn"12024 Achlevements and Porforniance This year we were absolutely delighted to get our feeding programme up and running In Thindigua Primary School n Kmmbu County in the outskrts of Natrobt. The feeding programme provides a cooked lunch to 663 children from the surrounding slum areas évery day By providing lunch in school w8 encourag8 m8 children to o)me to school and get an education which gives them the opportunrty to get themselves out of poverty for good. We know from our experience of running feeding programmes in Africa for 17 years that our feeding prografflffl88 esu88 8e8d8miC rasult8 to improv8 dramatically which has a po8ltive impact on th8 child, their family and the whole community, The project is managed by our fomier scholarship student Adan Noor who himself benefitted from the foeding programme at Cheleta Primary School and brings the total number of children we are feeding every day to 1123. The trustees continue to seek new projects and are working with Adan to identrfy new programmes to 8UPPOrt. Financial R•vi•w The tot81 income for tho yoar w88 £5,988 rai through voluntary donations with £626 raisod through grft relief. This represents a decrease of 11 % on last year. Donations to Africa were £13,228 with exp8n8es of £896 giving a deflcrt Of £8,147. The assets and habilities are set out in the balanc8 sheet with net eurr8nt as$8t$ of £80,280.

Law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charity's financial activities during the year and of its financial position at the end of the year.
