Achievements and performance
TRUSTEES
Over the pandemic, we have actually grown as a church as Ih8rfj is such a desire in the community
to connect and have fellowship. We have a young congregation ol many young families and we
desire to reach those around us a11 with the hope message of the gospel in these dark days. We
have been involved in various outreaches in the Gommunity before the pandemic SUGh at mother
and toddler groups. fun days, holiday clubs etc. We really aspire Iv build on these while offering the
Gommunity a safe place wher8 they feel they are with larllily and can get the help and support they
need.
Our mission as a church is lo show and spread the love of God lo those in our cornmunity who do
not yet know Him. Vve continue to do this in a pracli¢al manner.
Because of the year w$ have all been through, we are seeing such a desire for connection and
fellowship., we aspire lo answer this need in creative ways. Those who will benefit from these
outreaches are the congregalion, our neighbours. the wider Community and therefore our town. We
do not discriminate and God's love is open to receivo all.
We currently have a Children's Co-ordinator on staff and we desire to employ more stsff for youth
woik and outreach. We are currently working with local schoolg to support them and desire to see
this area of tninislry grow. Coming out of lockdowns and covid restrictions, we have identified the
need for children lo be in a school selling therefore we are planning on opening and govemmenl
recognised learning centre within the church building. The needs of the community around us in this
fast changing world and we are se8ino a need for food banks, financial advice servi¢es. rllenlal
health support and these are all areas we would like to explore for the near future.
WORSHIP TEAM
The Worship team is now fully functioning on a new platform with new drum booth and total drum
mic rig. The new digital PA desk has enabled the full team to hav8 individual in ear fflonitor mixes.
Each musician and vocalist own a person81 setof in ears and these Improverments have really helped
with sound qusliw of the team and has helped lo create confidence. Team discussion, prayer and
encouragement hag increased. We have also introduced moro prayer into our practi￿ and Sunday
motning limes together. We continue to practice new material and introduce numerous malorial that
glorifies God. Moving fonvard, we want lo strengthen the tearll with new male and female vo¢alisls,
devolop more worship leaders who can faithfully lead in anointed Praise and Worship, and lo be a
training cenlrè for youth in worship. Our Team Goal is lo be a vanguard which leads this generation
church into a special place of worship through lively spirit1ed thanks and Praise wilhoLJI the trappings
of form and past expression. To restore the cloud of His glory through true worshlp. Encouraging
and developing churGh members in their gifting by being part of a strong musical team.
PA DEPT
The PA dept has recently transitioned from an analogue desk to a new up-to-dale digital desk, this
change in technology has made a rnassive impact on being able lo both control the sound being
sent out lo the congregation and the ability for our worship team lo be able lo use in-ears on stage.
This means each individual person Dn stage is able lo manage their own mix to Sult their needs .The
improvement in sound quality ha5 been we are now also able lo speak lo individual members on
stage from th& PA desk through their in-ears rather than shouting down the $8ncluary.
Next stage is lo upgrade the visual side of the PA depl. we are currently using a very old built pc
which is quite unrtrliable al the minute. We are also using free software availablè online lo display
songs. scriptures, presentations, elc on our projector. We are hoping to invest in a Mac mini also
purchasing pro presenter sofiware, whiGh wi51 give us the ability lo show live services online and will
make our presentations more appealing lo the public.

CHILDREN'S CHRECHE MINISTRY
We believe every child can experience the wonderful love of God through the crèche ministry. We
present a bibliGal, age-appropriale leaching tailored loi" eaGh child because we believo each "littl
one" can learn about God. We pray with afjd lor all of our little ones. We strive lo promc>le a Ghrist-
entred atmosphere through bible stories, songs aiid role-play or even interacting with the children
as they play is a great way to LommulliGate Christ lo infants and toddlers. I believe we can plant
seeds through stories, art and cieative leaching, bul the best way a child will remembei Ghurch is by
the way they were loved, Jesus style.
W& have a good number of volunteers who are also parents of Lhildren who attend so there are
familiar faces, which is paramountfor the children. We aim to grow our numbers of children and then
grow our leatll lo fulfil the ratio of ¢hildren and adults lo train up our children in the way they should
go.
YOUTH MINISTRY
We all know It has been a challenging time during a pandemic lo run a youlh group and a challenging
lime for the youth as individLJals. However, God usfys everything for good and He has done this with
our young people. Before this, we found il haid to molivale our youth lo b￿￿0 friends along or even
regularly allend thèmselves. Societywas offe￿Ng them olherlhings thalseemed better and therefore
there was a18ck ol commitment. Since eve rything closed down, whenever we could offer anything
from zoom meetings lo meel-up8 al the beach they wanted lo come and they wanted lo bring friend5.
This has injected a fresh excitement and commitment into the group. Our leader's numbers have
dropped lo just a lew and so we cannot offer a weel(ly youth group but hope lo b& able lo do this
soon. On a Sunday moming we offer specific youth teaching 12 Sundays a monthl, the leaders
have noticed such a desire in them for this time, lo tslk to each other, their leaders and also lo God,
where they pray out in front of each other. As leaders. we are learning and growing. understanding
better how lo relate to this next gèneration. We are praying for labourers into this ripe harvest field
and trust Ih8t as we continue with a vision lor this generation that God will supply all we need. W8
desire lo see salvations this year not just among young people bul that those young people would
influence their family and friends loo. We see youth rising up in 8CC to take their place. They have
much in thèm wailing to be unpacked. We will continue lo build on our monthly outings and in doing
so, building trust and relationship so youth have that safe space for them be open lo the things of
God. We are planning to start a second youth group called 4..12 where those who express a desire.
will be nurtured further. This will become sornething all youth will in time, aspire lo. We trust God
with this generation as we go fotward, knowing His plans are good.
GENERATION KIDS CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Last year we were able to do the following. Back lo school service in person. Christmas puppet show
video. This was sent lo 70 schools across Ards, North Down and around 50 in Belfast and frorn this,
contact with one Belfast school mads. We were able lo hold Christmas carol setvice 2nd GK nativity
in the church bLJilding. School assembly videos were produced and sent OLJI. We held a themed PJ
party lor Generation Kids who were able lo invite friends. We have also been able lo grow our
school ministry by adding rllore school lo our list. Our online videos are freely available for children's
¢hurch, school ministry and we have videos online with song time for little blessings group. With the
connections made with little blessings farnili85, we were able al Easter and Christmas to go round
the families doing deliveries of fun packs and gifts. We had OLJr first sel of parents saved through
their Children coming ID GK. To date we have raised £1500 toward5 horsebox. This will be a
rvultipurpose tool, which will also house a rnobile puppet theatre. We wll use this for all outreach
events. We would like to do another School Christmas puppet show, and have the children's bused
to BCC from their schools Iwilh no cost lo th8 schooll. We are currently looking and applying for
granlsl. MDving forward, we want lo get back into schools in person, be more involved with leaching,
and ¢onlinue lo prodLJce quality online content. We aim to grow Little Blessings and make Ljse the
new garden space al Ghurch. We aim lo grow our schools ministry by adding more team rnembers
and have more schools and more involvement within the school. We are also looking lo grow the
puppet ministry by training more youth and adu115 and restsrt in peison activities like our holiday
bible club and glow party.

Our Goals. Ideas & Vision arè...
Church life
Hold Generation Kids lead farnily setvi¢e. These will be services where kids and youth Gan
leadllake all offl or part of the Sunday morning service. This will be great opportunily lo invite the
parents.
School ministry prayer week
This would take pla¢e al end of August before the start ol the new school year. This could be sent
as hard copy or via text. As a chur¢h, we would spend the wee1( praying for sGhDoI ministry, with
daily prayer points forwarded lo Ghurch members who would lake each point lo pray into. We
would pray for the SGhools that we go into, for Ihe children and staff saved and unsaved. The
prayer week will finish with a back lo school service on the Sunday morning,
Gommunity Outreach
Grow liille blessings- starting by meeting al castle park for a walk and picnic (parents bring own
food) whon allowed lo rnove back into ¢htJrch building we wi11 be able to use the new g8rden and
have inside and outside play. Toddlers has a small amount of money collected that will go to
buying outside toys.
Puppet show
Next year it could run over 213 days with 2 shows per day. We will need two buses for the 312
days. We didn't get a big pick up on these in 2019. 11 seemed transport was the main issue.
Player Space
We would love to do a prayer sp8ce where could invite either the whole school or just certain year
grDups. Transport would need to be provided. The children would wme to BCC and take part in
learning about prayer and how important il is for their lives. We lTralled something similar al the last
Holiday bible Club and it worked well.
We'd love to lake H.B.C on the road - As well as our usu81 Holid8y bible Club in house we could do
an on the road H.B.C. for one week we Gould lake the horse box to a different pla¢e each day,
CrawFordsburn, Bangor sea front, Killcooley elc. and do a pop up show. This would comprise of
worship, puppet show, a short wordlmessage, games and lun. 11 coijld bE advertised in local
newspaper, radio, social rnedia bul the idea will bg whoever is there will see us.
Small groupl Discipls class- We would love to implement a small group time on a Sunday morning
or one evening a week. This would allow the children lo have a more sltuctured and in-depth study
into Gods word. The children would be in agel school year groups so we would need more leade
who would be able to leach such a class.
GK Team -
We aim lo continue to grow the leaders within Ghildren's church and within their own
spiritual life, Maybe read a book together that may help or inspire them in the ministry. Attend
children's rninislry Gonlerences together, and continue to do life together. Provide training., grow the
team with more leaders, especially those who rllay be good with special needs children.
Working with p8renls- We would love lo collaborate with parents in training their children. We could
do training evenings with the parents lo help them understand the importance of living their faith out
at home, praying, reading and worshipping God together as a family. We have a full program of
monthly 8venls planned for the coming year.
