All subsidiary companies are wholly owned and controlled by the Group. Preparation of aceounts on a going eoneeyn basis The Company generally meets its day to day working capiial requirements from its annual income. The Trustees have obtained and reviewed cash flow forecasts tor the coming year and based on these are satisfied that the Compally has resources to provide a reasonable expectation that it can continue to meei its financial obligations as they fall due for the foreseeable futtire. Therefore, these lllLallcial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. Incomit]g resourc Donations received comprises 811 cash receivable for the accounting period, in¢ludillg related t2x recoverable under Gift Aid. Income is recognised Nvhen the Lharity has established an entitleLnent to the incon]e. For donations this is typically upon receipt. Gift aid iJcoine is accrued i]1 respect of clwitable donatiohs already receipted. Charitable activity incorne includes s&le of goods and conference ticket sale income. Donated oods Estimating the fair value of donated goods for resale is impractical because of the volutne of low-value items received. In addition. the ijicrease in administrative time and cost of maintaining detailed stock control systems iyould greatly outweigh any potential benefit. As a consequenct. donated goods for resale ar£ not recognised on receipi bllt instead the incom¢ is recognised at the point of onward sale Resourees expended Resources expended are recognised in the period in which thry are incurred. Charitable expendEmfE comprises those costs incllrred by the charity in the delivery of its activities and services to its beneficiaries. It includes both costs that can be allocated directly to such activities alld those costs of an indirect nature necessary to sllpport them. 16
