St Therese Annual Report 2021/22
Unfortunately due to the restrictions and risks associated with Covid 19 the PTA have not been able to arrange our normal fund raising activities such as the school discos and other large gatherings.
However again this year we had a very successful break the rules day which netted a total of £1716.50 alone this continues to be a very successful event and continues to be popular with the pupils.
Thanks to a successful application to the National Lottery by our treasurer Arlene on behalf of the PTA, she managed to secure a grant of £10,000. This grand was restricted to improving the gardens in the school and as you know the outside space at St Therese of Lisieux is very limited. The work on the gardens included the removal of the large fir trees at the back of the school significantly increasing the space that can be used by pupils.
The PTA continue to support the confirmation and supplied for the day an ice cream van for everyone to enjoy. This was at a cost of £146 and I understand well worth it as we could not meet in the school hall as usual. The communion cake was also supplied by the PTA at a cost of £50, the final expenditure for the year saw the return of the Primary seven leavers disco at a cost of £105.62.
