Annual Trustee Report for the year ended 30th June 2025
NI Charity No. 101743
Overview
St. Mary's PTA Banbridge supports the operations of St. Mary's Primary School and Nursery. Working with children, parents, carers and the wider school network, we strive to improve the education of the children through providing resources, facilities and activities outside the school environment. We create a forum for communication between parents, school staff and the wider community of Banbridge.
Our organisation is administered by volunteers, the majority of which are current and former parents of children within the school. There is an overarching focus to not only maintain standards, but to improve outcomes, especially for those faced with hardship. We provide a range of community activities for families within our catchment area and have put an emphasis on delivering parenting and adult support activities. The Cost of Living crisis has led to a continued need for support; in previous years we have provided online support, counselling support, parenting courses, intercultural awareness programmes, provided educational resources and information booklets.
The PTA has a wider community focus, working in partnership with local sports clubs and community groups to promote community cohesion.
