Overvlew
St. Marvs PTA BarFbri<*e s￿Orts the operation5 ofSL Marfs Prlmary School aTrJ Nuf5ery. Worklng
with children. parents, carers and the wider school networl we strive to Improve the education of
the chlldren through providing resources, facilities and activities outside the school environment. We
create a fonlln for CLvnmunirAion between parents, SChL￿A stsff and the wider community of
Banbridge.
Our organisatK>n is administered by volunteer5, the majority of which are cUr￿nt and fornier parents
of children within the school. There is an overarching focus to not only maintsin standards, but to
improve outcomes. especially for those faced with hardship. We provide a range of community
actiwts&s for families within our oatchment a￿3 and have put an emphasis on delivering parenting
and adult support activitie& The Covid pandemic and Cost of Livlng crisls has led to an increased
need for support; in previou5 years we have provided online support. counselling 5upporL parenting
booklets.
The PTA have a wider cLYnmunity focu% workJng in partnership with I￿31 sports dubs and
community grws to promote community cohesion.
In the current financial year St Mary's PTA ha5 worked diligentty and has aclU￿ed the following:
Secured a £l,CKX) grant from Groundworks {Tesco) which was used for free counselllng sesslons
for St Mary's students.
Provided Gymnastscs. Football. Gaellc and Table Tennls coaching for all chlldren free of charge.
Made a totsl contribution of £12,(XJ) towards stationery and resource5 in lieu of the Annual
Parent contribution for both the 2022123 and 2023124 school year.
Made a contri￿tiOn of £1￿￿ towards 3 se￿ry room In the school. thts room can be accessed
and enjoyed by all children,
Sponsored a kindness project In the school, rewarding acts of kindness and encouraging the
children to become aware of the needs of others In the communlty.
Provided financial support to the thildren's gardening club.
The PTA a150 S[￿ handwriting avrdrds, leaver5 trfvs, the Nursery Fish Tank proiecL outdoor
resources for the Learning Support Oass, a5 well as Easter treats for the children.
The a￿e expenditure5 Y￿e finan￿d by Grants recel¥Ed l£4m)) and thr￿￿h the fundraising
efforts of the PTA (QI056).

t the year end the PTA holds funds in its Bank ￿o￿Tht of £12.479AI with Outstandi￿ payments of
£1,569.15. This leaves a reconciled bank balan￿ of £10,910.66.
£1.500 of thi5 £10.910.66 ha5 been pl2d8ed toward5 readlng books for the School Library.

The trustees have had f?￿ra to the Commisslorfs Publlc benefft requI￿rnert statutory guFdan
under section 4(b)and continue to take it in to account in decision making where the guidance is
relevant.
