Objecttves and Actrvities The charitable purpose of the Church of Ireland is the advancement of religion. The principal ftjnction of St Catherine's Parish Church lfjllead, is to support the advancement of the Christian religion by promoting, through the work of the congregation the whole mission of the Church, pastor81, evangelistic. social and ecurnenical. Being open to and engaging wth society and offering support for those needing help are fundamental to the practical delNery of the benefits of Christianity- As a result of activty in the pursuit of the advancement of the Christian religion, St CalheTine's Parrsh Church, lfjllead has Custody of certain propety, records, materials and artefacts which are of signtficance to the cultural and religious heritage of the whole community, tho Maintenan of whlch is undertaken by the selectvesty of St Catherine's Parish Church Killead. Achievements, Perfomiance & Public Benefit The church was On again heavily involved within the local txjmmunity during 2025 and this Involvement will continue in the future. Financial Review The income for the church from various Sou$ was £88.081.86 with outgoings of£44,839.84. giving an excess of income over expenditure of ££,242.02 (2024 surplus £32.255.21)- The bank and cash balances on 31 December 2025 were in surplus to the value of £169,735.18. 12024 Surplus £126.493.161- Of this surplus, £101,566.77 relates to the Ropair Fund accountand £68.168.41 relates to the General account It is the Iruslee's policy to hold reserves adequate to cover unexpected emergenci and to have adequate re$eTves for churth propety maintenance and to furtherthe objectives and actNities of the parish. The select v&sty members are the charity trustees. RecruitmentandAppolntment of Select Vesty (Tniste&s) All members of the Church of Ireland who are overthe age of 18 and are either resident within the parish or INe ¢lsewhere but have been accustomed members of the congregation for at least three months, may register as members of th& general vestry of the parish. allowing them to attend and vote at meetings of the general vesty and to stand for election to the select vestry. Meetings of the general vesty are held at least once a year. The Select Vesty is elected as part of this GeneRI Vesty m¥elirvJ. The Select Vgsty will hold their PDsitiork8 for a period of one year. Select Vesty members may be re-el&cted annually and there is no limlt on tre number of tenms which may be served. Oryanisational Structure The select vestry is responsible for the day-t¢>day management of the parish. The seleel vestry consists of the momber of the dei9y seNing in the parish, any Curate assistant {°the curate"}, the churchwardens, the glebe wardens and generally not more than e1ve other members of the generd vesty elected at tre General Vesty. The seleotvesty is chaired by the incumbent or other member of the clergy officiating in the parish. Selectvesty members are responsible for making decisions on matters of general concern and Importance to the parish indudlng deciding how parish fijnds are to be applied. The seleGt vestry meets at b'mes fixed by the members or by the di¢)oesan synod. Spèclal meetings may be convened at any time by the chairper50n or the chur¢hwardens. In 2025 the Select Vesty met 4 times during the year. Compliance with Public Benefit The Parish has considered the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland's guidance on public benefft to ensure that the actives entered into during the year have helped to achieve the Parish's objectives and activities, as well as providing public benefit. Statement of Trustees. Responsibilities The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the statement of receipts and payments and statement of assets and liabileS in acwrdance with applicable law and regulations. The law applivdble to tharities in Northem Ireland wtth Income of less than £250,000 requires the trustees to prepare a ststement of reIpts and payments and a statement of assets and liabilities for each financial year.

Respective responslbllitiès of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance wt(h the Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2008. It is my responsibility to.. ex8mine the accounts under Section 65 of the Charities Act to follow the procedures laid down in the Geneial Directions given by the Charity Commission (under Section 6519llb} of the Charities Actl,- and to slate whether particular matters have come to our attention. Basis of the indepèndont examiner's report I hav8 examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charlties Commission for Northern Ireland under section E519llbl of the Charities Act. My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. (bl Statement of Assets and Llablllties ) Assets retained for the Parlsh's own use The assets of the Parish. retained for ils own use Comprise of.. - Church Building and Graveyard Parish Centre Rectory The Church Building and Graveyard are deemed to be Heritage assets as dèfined by the Charities SORP {FRS1021 These Heritage assets are not included in the statement of assets and liabili(iès as information on the cost or valuation is not available and such information cannot be obtsined at a cost commensurate with the benefit lo the users of the accounts and lo the parish. The Parish Centre is not separable as an individu818$set. As such it is déemed lo be a Heritage asset and no value is ascribed to il in the statement of assets and liabilities. The Rectory Is recognised at deemed ¢osL being the estimated fair valuation of the propety for rates purposes. No depreciation has been provided on the Rectory as the current estimated residual v41ue is not less than the carrying value and the remaining useful life currenlly exceeds 50 years. 11) Investments Fixed asset investments comprising investment properties. investments in gquilles (ordinary shares) an¢J investment in RCBICIT Unit Trusts are initially recorded at cost and are then subsequently stated al fair value at each year end date.
