Stranocum and District Development Group annually runs a variety of activities to improve the wellbeing of our local community. Regular activities include youth club, teen hub club, summer scheme, over-55s friendship group and a knit & natter group. Other activities held over the past year include various craft classes to accommodate all age groups, village clean up, sewing classes, exercise classes and a Christmas Show.
The charity has a governing document (Memorandum and Articles of Association) that we established and signed in April 2010. The charity's main objects are to promote community development, provide facilities for recreation/leisure, relieve those in need, advance education and training, promote amateur sport and healthy recreation, advance environmental protection and promote good community relations.
The trustees have had regard to the Commission’s statutory guidance on public benefit requirements.
A review ofthe charity’s financial position has been carried out, and no deficit/debt is held
