2025 Annual Summary: Newcastle Bible Week (Newcastle, Co. Down)
The 2025 mission continued its long-standing tradition of ministry held in a large marquee. We recently purchased a new Marquee for £22,000 which was gifted to the trust. We also moved to a new site on the Dundrum Road, Newcastle, opposite the Mourne View Caravan Park. We spent a lot on money preparing the site, and now that has been completed, we can benefit the next few years with it.
Key Highlights
-
Ministry and Gospel: The event featured a dual-track program with ministry from the Word of God every morning at 11:00 am and gospel meetings held each night at 7:30 pm.
-
Featured Speakers: The 2025 session was led by:
-
Mark Colchin (USA) – Morning Ministry.
-
Ian Robertson (Scotland) – Evening Gospel Meetings.
-
Community Outreach: Children's meetings were a core focus, held specifically in local caravan parks to engage visiting families during the summer season.
Overall, we had a very successful week, the meetings were very well supported, and we are very thankful for this. We needed to hire in Toilet and shower units and a power generator, for supplying the toilet and shower block. Also a water supply was installed.
This last year we did not have near as many campers, but due to the change of locaon and name change, this may be the reason. Plans are under way for 2026 with speakers booked and some repairs to the Marquee were also required.
We had a good working team to erect and dismantle the Marquee along with connecng up the facilies of power and water. Again, we are most thankful for the helpers who came along with this heavy work.
very helpful.
Sincerely, David Kennedy
