Achievements. Performance & Public Benefit During the reporting period, substantial re-pointing. lead fia5hing and stone replacemert work was carried out in the area of the Cathedral Baptistry, thereby preserving the fabric of the building- thi5 work was generousty supported through a grant from the National Churches Trust. The Cathedral Church of Christ the Redeemer is situated in the heart of the town of Dromore and seeks, through all of its activities. to have the town of Drom0. and its inhabitants. at its he3rt. Principally. this has been achieved under the following headings: Pastoral Care The provision of funernl seTvice5 ft>r those who have been bereaved. The ladles of the Parish provide funeral teas when requested by bereaved familie& The delivery of pastoral support for those who have been identified as in need or have psented themselves as being in need of pastoral supporL A structured model of visitation to those with more acute needs continued during the reporting period. Services were also held on Ash Wednesday. Wednesday evenings throughout the season of Lent and each evening in Holy Week. A monthly SeN1 in the Mountvale Nursing Home, held on the 1st Thursday of each month forthe benefft of all residents. resumed in October2022. In addition to the foregoing, a number of more occasional servi5 were hosted, namely a servlce of Ordination of Deacon5. Confirmatton 5eryice and Community Carol Servi. During the reporting period, a seiCe of Praise. Prayer & Testimony was commenced on the tst Sunday evening of each month. something which has been a great source of encouragement and blessing to all in attendance. Services for Children and Young People The Parish provides weekly instruction in the Christian faith through the provision of Sunday School and Girls. Brigade. Both groups are open to the whole community. Sunday School meeting on a Sunday morning during the I0.a Servi and Girl Brigade meeting on a Tuesday evening. A Holiday Bible Club was held fora week in AuEUSt for children of primary school age. A Youth Fellowship was established for teenagers, from both the chwth and community. on a Sunday evening. Bible Study On a monthly basis. a Parish Bible Study enabled participants to learn more about the Christian faith and assisted them In their personal developn7ent. Life Groups During the year, Life Gioups were held through whlch groups of adults were 3ble to consider the Christian faith, through a vaTiety of material. in the comfort of the home of the Lrfe Group leader. Mothers. Union, MATCH. JOY. Craft Class and History Reading Group These groups continued to meet during the reporting period. Alpha Course A morning and evefting Alpha Course was run during the reporttng period, with opportunwties for the wider community to consider the Christian faith. Pagc2 of 5

Throughout the season of Lent, parishioners were encouraged, through the "Jar of Gra, to give, pause and pray- the proceeds of the Jar of Grace were divided equally between Tear Fund, as they helped us considerthe impact of dimate change. and Cathedral Maintenan identifd in the Quinquennial ReporL Additionally, substantial financial support was given to the Di0Se of Maridi in South SLKJan as they responded to the pandemic in their context with very limited resource& Support for other Charities In September. the Parish h05ted a coffee moming in aid of Macmillan Cancer SuppoTL On Friday 9th Dernber 2022, the Dean led a sit-out in the town in aid of the vmrk of the Southern Area Hospice, Newry. On Saturday 10th December 2022. the Dean was accompanied by six other parishioners on a sponsored cycle from Dromore to Newry in 5UPPOrt of the work of Southern Area Hospice. Newry. On Sunday Ilth December 2022. the Cathedral h05ted a community Carol service with 5inger5 from all of the 5choo15 in the town participating as well as the Parish Choir and SOMA. The offering ceiVed at this service was given to the work of the Southern Area Hospsce, Newry. Ukrainian Refugee Familv In November 2022. the Cathedral Church family welcomed a family from Ukraine under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. The Cathedral rented a home in Dromore for this family and provided a whole Tange of practical, financial and emotional support for a family who had experienced considerable trauma before leaving their home in Odessa in late October 2022. The Dignity of the Person Through everythi the Parish is involved in and deliver5, the dignity of each individual 15 recognised and respected. Th55 is specffically upheld through the Church's Safeguarding Trust Poliry and the provision of an environment which reflects each peTh)n's Wdlue in Gorfs sight. Flnancial Review General Account. The main $04Jrces of income are derived from General and Freewill Offertories, Harvest Gift Day and Gift Aid Tax Refunds. The total of these increased by 14.20% over the previous year which was m05t encouraging during a year of unprecedented financial and social uncertairty and instability. Overall Cash P051tion. The Church has a number of Bank Accounts with an aggregate credit balance at the end of the year. Strurture. Governance and Management Governing Document and Constitution of the Charity Chapter 111 of the Constitution of the Church of Irel3r governs Parishe5 and Parochial OrEanisation. The Select Vestry members are the Charity Trustees. Remiitment and Appointment of Selert Vestry (Trustees) All members of the Church of Ireland who are over the age of 18 and are either resident within the Parish OT live elsewhe but have been accustomed members of the congregation for at least three months. may register as members of the General Vestry of the Parish. allowing them to attend and vote at meetings of the General Vestry and to Stand for elettion to the Select Vestry. Meetings of the General Vestry are held at least once a year. The Selett Vesty is eletted a5 part of this General Vestry meeting. The Select Vestry will hold their positions for a period of one year. Select Vestry members may be re-elected annually and there is no limit on the number of terms which may be served. Pay and Remuneration The Trustees confirm that the Incumbent is paid directly by the Parish and receives Stipend. Locomotory Expenses and Office Allowance in accordan with the figure5 approved by the General Synod of the Church of Ireland. The Select Vestry consists of the member of the CleTBY serving in the Parish, the Curate Assistant. the Church Wardens. the Glebe Wardens and generally not more than twelve other Members of the General Vestry elected at the General Vestry. The Select Vestry is chaired by the Incumbent or other member of the Clergy officiating in the Parish. select Vestry members are responsible for making decisions on matter5 of general concern and importance to the Parish induding deciding how Parish fvnds are to be applied. The Select Vestry meets at times fixed by the members. Special meetings may be convened at any ttrne by the ChairpeF50n or the Churth Wardens subject to adequate noti being given. In 2022 the Selett Vesty met 14 times during the yearand tr average attendance was 84%. Statement of Trustee5' Responsibilitie5 The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trusteeg Report and the Statement of ReIpts and Payments and Ststement o Assets and Liabiltties in accordaftce wlth applicable law and regulations.
