On 1 October 2020 the Northem Ireland Prison servi￿ Central Benevolent Fund, an unincorporated
entity which is a registered chanty, transferred rts assets and liabilth.es in their enbrety to NIPSCBF,
having first sought approval from The Chante$ Commission of Northem Ireland. The company has now
been fomally registered with The Chartknes Commisston of Northem Ireland and rt's a company limited
by guarantee, registered in Northem Ireland.
The company was formed to Continue the objecaives of relief of poverty and need for its members.

In setting objectives and planning activibes for the year. the trustees have givèn careful consideration
to the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland's guidance on publ￿ benefit lo ensure that the acts'vities
have helped to achieve the Charity's purposes and provide a benefft to the beneficiaries.

The charity provides assistsnce to rts beneficiafie3 through the provision of donalions. annuitles, loans
and other forms of assistance The charty also provides respite $eNices, accommodation and holiday
homes to ils beneficiaries. There are now a total of 2327 béneficiaries of the fund.
The Assistsnce committee within the fvnd have also spent another year working efficiently ensuring that
the needs of any of our benef￿laneS who have requested a￿StanCe are met
From April 2021 the directors met regularly by zoom stoll carying on all the dutses of directors. As Ihe
year continued the directors We￿ able to meet face to face.
During the year our Nl propertiès were used, unfortunately the properties on the main18nd and Spain
were not used due lo all the COVID restrith'ons.
November and December 2021 we wEre able to organtse 2 tn'ps to Killyhevlin and Christmas dinners
were back on schedule.
In addrtion, our l¢Kal commrttees contsnue to work in each establishment to look after the needs of
serving slafr.
