Dundonald Townswomen’s Guild – Trustee’s annual report 2022/23

AGM March 2022 – Glynn retired as Chair and was replaced by Kay. After the business was completed, we had a talk/demonstration by Patricia Grant who gave us some excellent ideas for gift wrapping. She brought along some very pretty samples as well as showing us how to wrap

April – Our speaker spoke about the history of Donaghadee

May – afternoon tea at Harrisons, Greyabbey

June – We met at Stormont for a picnic to celebrate the Queen’s jubilee, we brought our own lunch but had a celebration cake

September – due to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth taking place on the day of our meeting, the meeting was cancelled

October – Jacqueline Rodgers talked about reflexology and gave a hand massage to one of our visitors

November – The speaker was Sally from the perfume shop in Bloomfield shopping centre. She talked about perfume through the ages and had lots of samples for us to try, she also gave 2 ballot prizes

December – We had an excellent lunch in the Secret Garden

January – Jessica Simpson spoke about skin care while giving our Chair (who happened to be her grandmother) a full facial

February – The speaker was Gordon Millington who gave a very interesting talk, and showed slides, of lighthouses in Ireland

The committee has compiled what should be a great programme for the next year and I hope we all enjoy the coming year’s programme as much as we enjoyed the past one!
