Structure, governance and management
The d1￿CtorS of the charitable company are its trustees for the purpose of the company law and throughout this ￿port
are collettively ￿ferred to as trustees.

Most of the P￿sent tnJsrees have been Involved in the charity for a number of years and so are famlllar wlth Its work.
The trustees regularly review the requlrements of the charity and the possibility of a need for additlonal trustees. Any
new trustees would be appointed by re501ution of a meeting of all the trustees passed by a majority of those present.
Appropriate training and induction is available to all trustees.

The board of dlrertors meet on a regular basi5 to review all asperts of the charity.
Rlsk management
The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity 15 exp05ed, In particular those related to the
operatlons and finance5 of the charity, and are 5at15fied that systems a￿ in place to mitlgate any exposure to major
risks. Where appropriate. sY5tem5 or procedures have been establlshed to mitigate the rtsks the charity faces.
Internal control ri5k5 are minimised by the implementation of procedures for authorisation of all transactions and
projects. Procedures are in place to ensure compliance wlth health and safety of staff. volvnteers. clients and vlsltors
to the organisation. These procedu￿$ are periodically reviewed at least annually to ensure that they contlnue ro meet
the needs of the charity.
Objectlve and actlvitles
The objertive and principal attivities of the company a￿. (l) to provide an opportunity for chlldren from the local
Chlnese Community to team and study the Chinese Language. Chlldren from Local ènd other communities are
welcome. (2) to develop the Chinese Language into a unlversal language, and (3) to promote Chinese Culture and
education.
Volunteers
The charity 15 grateful for the un-stlnting efforts of its volunteers who are Involved In Serv1￿5 provlslon arid fund-
raising.
Aehlevements and performance
Total incoming resources for the year were £54.734 (2021: £43,458). Total resources expended for the year
amounted to £54.788 (2021.. £37.525). The net deficit for the year amounted to £53 (2021 5uplus'. £5.933). The
Trustees consider that the charity is in a satisfartory position to cary on its charitable activities.
Reserve pollcy
It is the policy of the Charfty to rnalntsin free reserves whlch matche5 the needs of the trust, both at the current tlme
and in the forseeable future. This provides Sufficient fiJnd5 to cover running costs which Include rnanagement,
administration and supporr costs. Free reserves are those un￿Strftted reserves not deslgnated or Invested in fixed
assets which are available for general use.
