Honorary Treasurers. Report 2024
The Church has made a small surplus for the year despite a reduction in contributions
from the congregation. There was a marked increase in income from rents and invesknent
income which helped to off set the reduction in congregational income. This was due to a
full years rent on one of the Kingsway properties which had only been occupied in late
2023.
The church had a lot of exceptional expenditure during 2024 (new sound internet system,
church doors refurbished, Session room refurbished and the hall electrics updated). To
pay for this the church had to transfer a sum from reserves to the current account. All
other expenses remained stable. But comparisons between 2023 and 2024 may be
different due to interpretation of accounting between our Auditor Mr Ivan Laird (2023) and
our current Auditor Mr John Neill.
We would like to thank Mrs Heather Douglas and Mrs Janice Vance, the Freewill Offering
Treasurers in 2024, for their work throughout the year. Our thanks also go to our Auditor
Mr John Neill for all his help and continued support during the year.
The continued support of the congregation is greatly appreciated and we look forward to
this continuing into 2025.
