The 1781h Annual Report of the Society, incorporating the STATEMENT of INCOME and
EXPENDITURE was approved at the Annual General Meeting of the Society held in Barons
Court Castle, Newtownstewart on Tuesday 12th September 2023.
I report on the accounts of THE TYRONE PROTESTANT ORPHAN SOCIETY for the year ended
301h A ril 2023.
As the Trustees of the Charity, you are responslble for the preparation of the Accounts in
accordance with the Charities Act {Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is my responsibility to:
Ll Examlne the Accounts under 5ectlon 65 of the Charitie5 Act.
Ll Follow the procedures laid down In the general Direction5 given by the
Commission under Sectlon65 {9) (b) of the Charities Act.
State whether particular matters have come to my attention.
I have examined your Charity Accounts, as requlred under section 65 of the Charities Act,
and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions, given by the
Charity Commission of Northern Ireland under Section 65(9) Ibl of the Charities Act.
My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the Charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of
any unu5val items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanation5 from you as
Charity Trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me
cause to believe:

l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with Section 63 of the Charities
Act.
2. That the amounts do not accord with those accounting records.
3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charitv
Act.
4. That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts
to be reached.
I have completed my examinatlon and have no concerns In respect of the matters (i) to
(41 Ilsted above and, in connectlon wlth following the Dlrectlons of the Charity
Commisslon for Northern Ireland; I have found no matter5 that requlre drawing to your
attentlon.
