The company's objectives are specifically restricted to the advancement, improvement, production and promotion of art, the promotion of the arts and culture, the advancement of education and the promotion of the benefit of the inhabitants (hereinafter called 'beneficiaries') of the belfast area in particular but not exclusively to the environs of Northern Ireland (herein after called the 'area of the benefit) without distinction of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability/ability, race, ethic origin, political, religious or other opinion by associating the statutory led authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education with the objective of improving the conditions of life for said inhabitants Creative Exchange aims to promote and improve art and the production of objects and works of artistic merit for the public benefit by the establishment and maintenance of affordable studio space for fine artists and makers (including painters, illustrators, sculptors, photographers, printmakers, textile and other multi media designers) in necessitous circumstances upon terms appropriate to their means: To advance education in the arts for the public benefit by the provision of training and support for applied artists including where possible persons disadvantaged by social, economic or physical circumstances; To foster, promote and advance the education of the beneficiaries in art in all its aspects and to encourage appreciation for and participation in the arts and cross- cultural community based arts activities by the provision of information and training, classes workshops, arts facilities and equipment, support and instruction and the organisation of exhibitions of works and events as the directors shall in their absolute discretion determine; To promote learning about the creative processes involved in the arts with the object of developing aesthetic appreciation; To provide support and information on the issues concerning the contemporary arts sector; To advance any other exclusively charitable purpose as the directors, may from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity.
