As a result of activity in the pursuit of the advancement of the Christian rellBion, St. Savlours, Cralgavon has custody of property and of records, materials and artefacts of significance to the cultural and rellglous herita8e and maintenance of which is undertaken by the select vestry of St. Saviours, Cral8avon. Achlevements, Perforni•nce & Publlc Beneflt In 2022 the parish of St Savlours offereda varlety of worshlp services whlch were avallable to the whole communlty- Services of mornln8 prayer, holy communion. All Age Servlces. Easter, Christmas, St Patrlck's Dav and Good Fridayservices were all condurted for the spiritual benefit of the public. We were also able to conductour Remembrance Sep4ice. We are still currently without a MlnSster In charge but very grateful that some of our "in person" actlvitles are up and runnln8 again with our Craft Club. Guldes. mums and tots and Sunday School all taking place again. We have worked dili8ently atmaintalning connections we have in the comrnunity. Our mums and tots group meets weeklyand 15 open to the whole community offerin8 social interaction for the chlld and thelr parent or carer. Our weekly Sunday school offers educatlonal and pastoral benefits to the youn8 people In the community. We hope th3t once again our other activlties wlll be able to commence, Youn8 at Heart, Mens Breakfast and variou5 Holiday Clubs which were always well attended. We also contlnued to support the work of Craigavon Food 8ank and Cral8avon Youth for Christ. We endeavoured to keep in contart with our children and young people and we delivered craft packs to all our youn8 families for Motherfs Day, Easter and Christmas. St. Saviourfs contributes to other charities and Mlssion Socletie5. We support link missionarles in Uganda. The Parish has given careful consideration to the Charity Commisslon for Northern Ireland's 8uldance on public benefit to ensure that the attlvlties entered into durin8 the year have helped to achieve the Parish's objective5 and artivities, as well as providln8 publlc benefit.

The Select Vestry members are the Charity Trustees Recrultment andAppolntment oASelert Vestry All members of the Church of Ireland who are over the age of 18 and are elther resldent within the parish or Ilve elsewhere but have been accustomed member5 of the congregation for at least three months, may register as members of the general vestry of the parish, allowin8 them to attend and vote at meetin85 of the general vestry and to stand for election to the selett vestry. Meetin85 of the 8eneral vestry are held at least once a year. The Select Vestry is elected as part of this General Vestry meetin8. The Selert Vestry will hold their positions for a period of one year. Select Vestry members rnay be reelected annually and there15 no Ilmit on the number oftemis which rnay be served Pay and remuneratlon The Incumbent of the Parlsh. stipend Is pald directly by the Parish. The incumbent recelves a stipend in accordance with figures approved by the General Synod of the Church of Ireland and Diocesan approved office and locornotory allowances.

Orgonlsatlonol Strurture The Select Vestry is responsible for the day to day management of the parish. The Select Vestry conslsts of the Incumbentservin8 in the parish, the churchwardens. the glebe wardens and generally not more than twelve other members of the general Vestry elected at the General Vestry. The Select Vestry is chaired by the incumbent. Select Vestry members are responslble for maklng declslons on matters of general concern and importance to the parish including deciding how parish funds are to be applied. The Selert Vestry meets at times fixed by the members or by the Diocesan Synod. Special meetings may be convened at any tlme by the chairperson or the churchwardens. In 2022 the Select Vestry met re8ularly durlng the year and with good attendance. Statement of Trustees, Responslbllltle5 The tru5tee5 are responslble for preparln8 the Trustee5' Report and the flnanclal statements In accordance with applicable law and re8ulatlons. The law applicable to charltles In the Northern Ireland requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the trustees have prepared the financlal statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practlce In the Unlted Kingdom (accounting standards issued by the Financial Reportin8 Councll in the UK , includin8 Charitie5 SORP IFRS 1021 Accountin8 and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charitles preparing their accounts in accordance wlth the Flnancial Reportin8 Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFR5 1021 "and promulgated by the Instltute of Chartered Accountants In the Unlted Kingdom and United Klngdom Law) Under that law the trustees must not approve the financlal Statements unless they fully agree with It The Select Vestry of St. Saviourfs. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Parlsh and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other Irregularities.
