Objectives and Activities
The principal objective of Bo-Peeps Playgroup is to provide a safe, caring and stimulating
pre-school environment where young children can learn, develop and play The playgroup
prornotes children's social, emotional, physical and educational development through
structured play and learning activities while supporting families within the local community.
Achievements and Performance
During the year ended 31 August 2023, Bo-Peeps Playgroup continued to provide quality
pre-school education and care for children in the local area. The playgroup delivered a varied
programme of learning and play activities designed to support children's development and
school readiness.
The trustees are pleased that the playgroup continued to operate successfully throughoul the
year, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children attending. The staff
and volunteers remained committed to maintaining high standards of care and education.
The trustees would like to thank the staff, volunteers, parents and 5UPPOrters for their
continued commitment and contribution during the year.
Financial Review
The t￿SteeS are satisfied with the fsnancial position of the charity at 31 August 2023. The
income received during the year was applied in furtherance of the charity's objectives.
The tNstees continue to monitor the financial position of the playgroup to ensure that
sufficient funds are available to meet its ongoing cornmitments and lo support the continued
delivery of services.
Reserves Policy
The trustees aim to maintain an appropriate level of unrestricted reserves to provide financial
stability and to ensure the continued operation of the playgroup in the event of unexpected
costs or fluctuations in income.
Structure, Governance and Management
Bo-Peeps Playgroup is governed by a management committee of volunteer trustees who are
responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity. The tFUStees rneet
regularly to oversee the management, finances and activities of the playgroup.

Trustee5 are appointed in accordance with the governing document and are responsible for
ensuring that the charity complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Trustee Responsibilities
The tnjstees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Annual Report and the financial
statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom accounting standards.
The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records, safeguarding the assets
of the charity and taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.
