Fermanagh BT74 5BA Oblectives and Activities Objectives The Group is established to promote play based leaming environments for all children under statutory school age (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) of the Boho and its surrounding environs in County Femianagh (hereinafter called the 'area of benefiv) without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientaiion, nationality, ethnic identty. political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities. community and voluntary organisation, and in particular. a) to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play. with the ruht of parentslcarers lo lake responsibilty for and to become involved in the activities of the group; and to promole the preservalion ol health of the beneficiaries,. and b) to support the values and principles of Early Years.
Key Activities In thls Year Bo Peeps Playgroup was set up n 1997 by members of the local womens, group, in response to requests frcrfn rural parents for the provision of locally based pre-school education. The group is run by a voluntary committee, and is based in Boho Community Hall. Bo Peeps worf<s closely with their Earfy Years advisor to enable each child to progress and leam through play to the best ol their ability. Bo Peeps is registered wtth WHSCT social seNices department and is also part of the WELB pre-school education expansion programme. Bo Peeps follow the DENI guidelines and offers children opportunities to leam through play using the six areas of leaming: language, early maths, art, the world around us, music, personal, s(la1, ernotional and physical develoFThent Finan¢lal Review Review of Business Bo-Peeps Playgroup is non-profit making with net income and resources in this year of 34,250.14. The trustees continue to mange resources in an efftienl and sustainable manner. Reserves Policy Bo-Peeps Playgroup have a Reserves Policy, which requires that reserrfes are built or maintained at a level vthich ensures that the organisalions core activities could continue during a period of unforeseen difficulty and that the organisalions knoKn liabilities will be paid should the organisation cease to trade. Futtire Plans Bo-Peeps Playgroup plan to conlinue lo focus on controlling cosls, while maintaining the high standards of seNice to our beneficiaries. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILrriES 51 for the year ended 31 August 2017. The Trustee5 are responsible for preparing the financial stalements in accordance with applicable law and regulalions. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them lo ensure that the financial statements comply with all appropriate regulations. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fra(MJ and other irregularilies. In so far as the trustees are aware: there is no relevant information (inforynation needed by the chariVs independent examiner in connection with preparing the independent examiners report) of which the charitys independent examiner is unaware. and the twslees have taken all the steps that they oUt to have taken to make themselves aware of any relevanl independent examiner
