|**REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES**||
|**FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2022**||
|The Trustees havepleasure in submittingthe Report and Accounts for theyear.||
|||
|**Objects of the charity**|The Trust seeks to demonstrate the Christian faith in action by providing<br>training and apprenticeships to young people in Youth and Schools Ministry,<br>inpartnershipwith local churches throughout Northern Ireland.|
|**Government**|The policy and operating decisions of the charity rest with the Trustees who<br>meet regularlyto monitor the activities of the Trust.|
||New trustees are appointed by the Trustees based on shared values and<br>skills contributed.|
|**Review of Activities**|During the year there has been a demonstration of the Christian faith in<br>action byservingthe communityin which it operates in the followingways:|
||By delivering 2 community and schools projects. Developing and training 6<br>volunteers and working in approximately 7 schools in Northern Ireland<br>offeringeducational and extra curricular support.|
|**Financial Review**|The turnover for the year was £11,632 (2021; £15,616). Expenditure for the<br>year amounted to £15,065 (2021: £10,597). This resulted in a defcit for the<br>year of thegeneral funds of -£3433(2021: £5,019).|
||1. Throughout the year, the trustees, volunteers and partners have met to<br>discuss progress regularly. In this way the public benefit has regularly been<br>assessed and the trustees have had regard to the commission's public<br>benefit requirement.|
||2. The trustees noted a deficit at the end of the year of -£3433 and a carried<br>forward balance of £4,294.12. Expenditure against income will be monitored<br>carefullyin 2022-2023 with the aim of increasingthe carried forward figure.|
|**Trustees' Responsibilities**|Charity law requires us as Trustees to prepare fnancial statements for each<br>accounting year which record the receipts and payments of the charity for the<br>year.|
||We are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose<br>with reasonable accuracy at any time the fnancial position of the charity and<br>enable us to ensure that the fnancial statements comply with the Charities<br>Act 1993.|
||We also have a responsibility to safeguard the assets of the charity and to<br>take reasonable steps toprevent fraud or anyother irregularities.|
