CLOGHER VALLEY RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB Trustees, report For the year ended 30 April 2023 The Trustees present the annual report and financial statements of aogher Valley Rugby Football Club Ithe Clubl for the vear ended 30 April 2023. Objertives and activities The Club is registered as a charity with the Charity Comrnission for Northern Ireland (Reg No 1015301. The principal objectives of the Club are set out in the Club'5 constitution, its governing document. In general the Club provides facilities to enable the inhabitants of the Clogher Valley and surrounding area to take part in community activities principally through participation in the amateur sport of rugby football. Financia5 review The Club5 results for the year are set out in the statement of financial activity in the following pages. Management The management of the Club is delegated to the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee organise the operation of the Club through sub committees which report directly to the Executive Committee. Trustees, responsibilities statement The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, rÈport and the financial statmentS in accordance with the Club's constitution and applicable law. Company legislation requires the Truttees to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under company law the Tru5tee5 must not approve the financial Statements unless they ale satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Club and of thè income and expenditure of the Club for that period. In preparing these financial select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently- make judgments and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent,. prepare the financial statèmènts on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the Club will continue in operation. Public Benefit The Trustees oversee the day to day running of the Club and seek the views of members, IRFU and volunteers in dèciding the training, matches and activities to be run in orderto maximise health, social and community benefits providèd to the community. The Club has a child protection policy in place as well a5 ensuring the new and existing coaches of 311 age groups participate and obtain up to date coaching qualifications. During the financial year, the Club was able to resume the sport of rugby and re-open the Club House and ground to all Member5, Volunteers, Trustees and the Public. whilst still following all guidance frorn the Department of Health and I RFU. With the assistance of the Club Trustees. Volunteers and Coaches. they were able to re-commence holding Community events leg Mud Run) while still following all health guidance. With the Coronavirus Pandemic still around the Club continued to support theirsponsors and the community where needed and help support those people who we vunerable ènd required to self-i501ate.
