## **Overall Financial Position** 

Armagh U3a had built up a significant surplus during the covid years however since covid, venue hire costs have risen sharply and it was clear that this surplus would soon disappear by way of subsidising this additional cost. The Committee are addressing this issue and have introduced a nominal participant contribution for Interest Groups hiring venues in line with other local U3a branches. This is being trialled between January and the end of June 2026 and to date appears to be successful.  The annual membership subscription will remain at £20 per person.
