Chairperson's Report
The past year has once again not been the best year for Armagh U3A, a number of our members have died, and there are few of us who have not been affected by illness and bereavements in their own family and friendship circles. I hope that the membership of the U3A can connue to provide solace, support, and companionship to you all. Minutes Silence
Hotel, inially outdoor on the pao but also in the hotel itself in more recent mes. Our commiee meengs have been held on Zoom and more recently in person in the Armagh County Museum. As yet none of our Interest Groups have been meeng indoors with the excepon of our Pilates group but the outdoor groups have been meeng more frequently, and the Bridge Group are connuing to play online using Bridgebase. We held a Treasure Hunt in October this year. It was held in Moy and while there were some complaints about the difficulty in deciphering some of the clues, I think everyone enjoyed the morning.
During the year three people were co-opted on to the commiee, Tim Hanna, Wilma Campbell, and Margaret Meehan, who returned to the commiee and took on the role as Business Secretary.
Three people are stepping down from the commiee this year, and on behalf of Dennis, the rest of the commiee and the membership I would like to thank each of them, for the work they have done on the commiee. Mary McVeigh our President and Interest Group Co-ordinator was a founding member of our U3A, Barbara Snodgrass our Minutes Secretary and finally I am stepping down as well. John Wells, our membership secretary has indicated he would like to stand down but will connue unl a replacement is found.
Our membership remains at the last commiee meeng was as follows:
Total members actually signed up and membership fees paid: 112 members
Total members on the database: 228
Total members sll to renew (some of whom are in credit) 116.
Finally thank you to the members for your interest and support for this organisaon
