Report of the Trustees
Objects of the charitv
To advance the Christian Faith in Northern Ireland and elsewhere by',-
l. Holding church services and public meetings for praise, worship, bible teachin81
prayer, healing and fellowship;
2. Providing activitie5, education and teaching for children and young people;
3. The support and encouragement of the Christian Church at home and overseas;
4. Such other charitable acts and thing5 as will lor will tend tol promote or encourage
the Christian faith and which are in sympathy with the other aims and objects of the
Churches Trust Deed,.
Governance
The legal, policy and financial responsibilities of the church rest with the Trustees who meet
to monitor the activities of the Trust. The existing trustees appoint new trustees.
As a result of the successful church re-launch in 2019 under the leadership of CFC East, and
the appointment of the new Trustees to the board in 2021 and 2022, there is a robust plan in
place to ensure the continued good governance of the organisation going forward.
During 2024, Andrew Gibson, Colin Stewart, Paul Betts, Tommy Moore, Carl Mcmanus and
Arlene McDowell oversaw the Holywood CFC operations as Trustees of the organisation.
Major change5 2024
In 2024, under the leadership of Pastor Carl McManu5, the church saw sustained growth in
the number of people and families attending the weekly service5 and events.
During the year the church was led in harmony with the objectives of Holywood CFC Trust
and demonstrated an on-going commitment to Holywood Family Trust, our key partner.
Services were delivered to all age groups, and members consistently participated in the
organised activities.
The delivery of other in-person activities such as youth, children's and counselling services,
continued in line with the previous year, meaning the Trust's premise5 were extensively
utilised throughout the period.
During the year, the Trust continued to Support Holywood Family Trust and overseas
partners involved in Christian mission and social transformation.
Holywood CFC
Report and Account5 2024

The Trust also continued to enjoy the benefit of being mortgage free after paying off the
balance of monies owed in 2021. This removed the Trust's chief financial liability for the
building assets and allowed the Trust to put money aside for future desired building
improvements. The Trustees continued to manage the building5 for users and to maintain
the upkeep of the fabric of the premises.
It is anticipated that eventually the assets of Holywood CFC will be acquired by CFC East.
With this aim in mind, the Trustees appointed from CFC East will be involved in planning an
approach and methodology of how this will be done.

Report and Accounts 2024

Independent Examiner's Report
To the Trustees of Holywood Christian Fellowship Church
I report on the accounts Df the charity for the year ended 31 December 2024 set out on pages
7 to 10 which have been prepared on the basis of the accounting policies on page 6.
Respettive responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The trustees of the charity are responsible for the preparation of accounts. I have been
appointed to conduct an Independent Examination equivalent to that required by section 43
of the Charities Act, 1993 and to report in accordance with the regulations made under
section 44 of that Act. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts, without performing an
audit, and to report to the Trustees.
Basis of independent examlner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance wlth the General Directions given by the
Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by
the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented wlth those records. It also includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations
from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide
all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an
audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiner's Statement
Based on my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable
cause to believe that in any material respect, accounting records have not been kept
equivalent to those that would have been required if the charity was required to comply with
section 41 of the 1993 Act, or that the accounts presented do not accord with those record5,
or comply with the accounting requirement of the 1993 Act. No matter has come to my
attention in connection with my examination to which, in my opinion, attention should be
drawn to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
