Corkley Development Association
Chairman's Report 2022- 2023
Charity No 101457
Registered Office.. 5 the Square Tandragee, BT62 2AA
Corkley Development Association has been esta blished to organise a nd facilitate, classe5, training,
keep fit, sporting activities, social events, specifically for senior citizens and young people and
intergenerational events.
During the past year the Hall suffered an electricity supply problem, due to the extra load being
placed on the existing supply cable. This occurred around November time The Association purchased
a small generator to run lights and heating so the hall could be used in a limited capacity until the
electricity supply could be restored. The association incurred extra costs associated with running
petrol generator approx. £40's per week.
Fortunately the main fund raiser for the year, the big breakfast and car wash, was over for the year.
However having to power the hall with the generator meant that the heating system couldn't be set
on a timer to come on and heat the hall prior to regular events such as meeting music tuition
bowling etc. leading to discomfort due to the cold to our regular participants. This meant that some
of our older participants were not able to attend.
Despite this both indoor bowling and musical tuition continued as normal.
Accounts have been prepared by M Mccune and Co, Tandragee and we recommend their
