The trustees present thelr Trustees. Annual Report, combining the Diredors, Report and TnJsle8s' R8POrt, and the
unaudited finanrial statements for the financial year ended 31 March 2024.
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Companies Act 2006, FRS 102 The Financtal Reportlng
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statèment of
Recommended Practice applicable to charits'es preparing their finan¢ral statements in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republi¢ of Ireland (FRS 102)
The Twslees, Report contains the infomalion required to be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report undei the
Statement of Recommended Pradice (SORP) guidelines. The trustees of the company are also charity Irustees for the
purpose of charity law and under the compan1$ constriution are known as members of the board of trustees.
In this report the trustees of Loughshore Care Partnership P￿sent a summary of 11$ purpose, gOV8rnance, aclivilies,
achlevemenls and finances for the finanlial year 31 March 2024.
The company Is a registered chairty and hence the report and ￿SuIts are presented in a form which complies with Ihe
requirements of the Companies Act 2006 and, allhough not obliged to comply with the Slatemenl of Recommended
Practice (Charities SORP effedtve January 2015), organisation has implemented ils recommendations where
relevant in these financial statements.
Strneture, Governance and Management
structure
The charity is an unincorporated organisation and ts govemed by its consts'tulion. The Trustees have uliimale legal and
financial responsibility for the affairs of Loughshore Care Partnership and manage the day to day affalrs of the charlly
themselves. Board meetings are held on a monthly or bi-monlhty basis. All Intslees undertake an indudion proces$
which covers their roles, responsibilities and main duties. etc.
Flnan¢lal Review
The results for the financial year are sel out in the Statement of Finandal Actlvlty, tha Balance Sheel and related notes
contained within these fina￿las accounts.
Re$ults and Divldends
Al the end of the financial year the company has assets of £106.144 (2023- £114,295) and liabilities of £1,130 (2023 -
£720). The net assets of the company have decreased by £(8,561).
Reserves Position and Pollcy
In recent years. the voluntary I charity sector has faced significant financial difficulties as a whole and Ihe Trustees
acknowledge that LCP operates in an environment where Ihere will a￿ayS be uncertainty over fvlure income streams
and expenditure requ1￿MentS given the possibility that unforeseen expenses and liabilities that will emerge.
Against this background it is considered good practi￿ to seek lo build some finanaal reserves whlch wll allow us lo
meet future comrnilmenls or unloreseen expenses without a negative impacl on our ability lo deliver our services or
develop our business in the manner planned.

Loughshore Care Partnership was establlshed in August 2003 as a new and Innovallve programm8 of ￿Te lor older
persons in isolaled njral are8s. The partnership is mad8 up of associates from the local $latulory, voluntary and
community sector. Its aim is lo provide l(Kally based he8llh and social care Se￿[ce$ to those living in rural areas ol
the southern shores of Lough Neagh.
Publlc Benefit Statement
In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees have given careful consideration to the
Charily Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped lo achieve
the chaiity's purposes and provide a benefit lo the beneficiaries. The benefits of Loughshore Care Partnership are both
clear and directly related to the charity's aims and objeclrves. These benefits are and vlill be dernonslraled through
surveys of sa115faclion at the end of any course. increased attendance at felevanl meetings and advlce and guidan¢e
sought by members, The charity beneficiaries are people living in the Lough Neagh area and the surrounding areas.
Loughshore Care Partnership Chaiman's Report
The senior citizens. groups. under Loughshore Care Partnetship, continue lo support Ihe elderfy people ol the rural
Loughshore catchment area and are dellghted that new members and new volunteers have joined these groups. They
are very welcome.
Our group volunteers have shown loyalty and dedication lo the senior citizens, ensuring that they have a safe and
ffiendly place to chal. build friendshlps and engage in varièd activities. They deserve great credit for IheSr commitment
to their community- The volunteers continue lo encourage new members and support those still hesilanl lo retum to
the dubs through regular phone calls.
Without our funders we would not be able to bring such a service and suth a varied programme of activitres lo the
senior cllizens. Our funders include Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Department of Communities, ABC
Council. Garfield Westem, Arts Council Nl, and those who businesses that have made donation to U5 during th6 year
such as Hyster, Tesco and GroundforceNI.
We are particularly indebted to the SHSCT with whom we have a Service Level Agreement. This is exlremely
valuable, allowing us lo meet insurance, rental, administratton. and general njnning costs. We also value their advlce
and general support and our meetings with the Trust rep￿sentatIveS a￿ p)sitive and benefiaal.
We wish to thank DART Partnership for their slgnffi￿nt assistsnce. ensurirvJ that senior citizens have transport to the
clubs each week. Many driveT5 ar8 volunteers. and they cary out their tasks with due care and consideration to the
eldedy.
New Action Plan
In the laller part of 2023. we engaged consultant Patrick McKenna to work dosely with Ihe groups we work with and
the Loughshore Care Partnership (LCP) committee members. His exlensive efforts enabled us to develop a new

three-year action plan for 2024-2026. This plan has been unanimously endorsed by LCP a5 our strategic direction,
and we have already begun its implementation.
Loughshore Minds Matter Proloct
The Loughshore Minds Matter project aims to provide vital support to the wral community living alon9 the soulhem
shores of Lough Neagh. Ils goal is lo offer a variety of interventions and actrvities suilable for people of all ages,
addressing the adverse effects of isolation experienced. particularty during the COVID-19 pandemic on their mental
well-being.
The project coordinator. Hazel Boland. has actriely engaged with I￿1 gft)ups and collaborated with stsff from the
ABC Council and the Trust to secure additional support. Notably. we've facililated the presence of the Cancer Focus
Bus at various venues in re￿nt months. This proiecl is funded through the Department of Health and Ihe Community
Foundation.
The Lough$hore Minds Matter project has made a significant difference to the engagement and entertainment of the
senior cilizens. This project brings so much energy and creatlvlty, bringing new experiences to the Senior citizens. It
has enriched their lives arKI has assisted volunteers in planning and provision of activrties.
The prolect acknowledges and appreciates the ded￿￿tion and hard work ofthe staff members involved in dellvering
ils seniices.
Verve Healthy Living Network
LCP recently became part of the VeNe Healthy Ltvlng Network and will cover the njral soulh Lough Neagh area.
As a member of the VeNe Healthy Living Netsvork wlll bring significanl benefits lo the rural south Lough Neagh area.
As part of this netwo￿. LCP will gain access lo a wide range of heallh and wellbeing programmes tailored lo local
needs. including initiatlves focused on healthy lifestyles, mental and emotional wellbelng. and social inclusion. The
partnership will strengthen community engagemenl, increase the availability of health resources, and provide
opportunities for shared learning with other nelwork members.
A big Thank You to our volunteers
Loughshore Care Partnership extends ils gratitude in recognition of the diligenl efforts and the ¢ommilmenl shown by
the volunteers with whom it collaborates on a weekly basis. They certainly are a prime example of motivation which
will hopefully inspire olhers lo become involved in helping in Iheir community in the future.
New volunteers are always encouraged to partidpate and dedicate a few hours each week to any of the groups we
work with. Remember the act of giving and connecting wilh others through volunteering is one of the most meaningful
ways of making a valuable contribLrtion lo your community.
Acknowledging Our Team and Offering Support
Despite the current challenges in the funding arena. we have continued to secure slgnificanl financlal support from
various sources. Thls success is largely due to the dynamism and dedication of Mary McAlinden. Her meliculous
management of LCP'S financial matters. coupled with her deep understanding of community development. has been
Instrumentsl in our ongoing success.
To those who have faced health d)allenges this year. we send our Wa￿eSt wishes ft)r a swift recovery and a retum lo
full health.
We exiend our hearffell condolen￿5 to those who have expertenced loss within the LCP and our senior citizens,
groups, especially to the family of lan Abraham from Derryadd. a valued LCP committee member who recenuy
passed away.
To the future
Challenges remain for LCP. We need new volunteers who Sha￿ our comrnitmenl for the people in this area. We need
to reach out to isolated people who may be unaware of our groups, activities. To promote this, we are wotking on the
development of a social media presence and have also produced posters and flyers for the 2024126 Senior Citizens
programme of activities.
We remain hopeful and optimistic as we continue to maintain and improve our support for the rural community that we
serve around the Loughshore.
