ANNUAL REPORT for the financial year ended 31 March 2023 The trustees present their Trustees, Annual Report, combining the Directors, Report and Trustees, Report, and the unaudited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 March 2023. The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Companies Act 2006, FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounling and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their financial statements in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102). The Trustees, Report contains the information required to be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report under the Statement of Recommended Practice {SORP) guidelines. The trustees of the company are also charity trustees for the purpose of charity law and under the company's constitution are known as members of the board oftruslees. In this report the trustees of Loughshore Care Partnership present a summary of its purpose, govemance, activities, achievements and finances for the financial year 31 March 2023. The company is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a form which complies with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 and, although not obliged to comply with the Statement of Recommended Practice (Charities SORP), the organisation has implemented its recommendalions where relevant in these financial statements. Results and Dividends At the end of the financial year the company has assets of £114,295 (2022 - £94,949) and liabililies of £720 (2022 - £957). The nel assels of the company have increased by £19,583. The Companies Act 2006 The Charities SORP (FRS 102) Aims l Objectives I Structure, govemance & managemen( Publlc Benefit Loughshore Care Partnership was established in August 2003 as a new and innovative programme of care for older persons in isolated rural areas. The partnership is made up of associates frorn the local statutory. voluntary and ommunity sector. Its aim is to provide locally based heallh and social care services to those living in rural area5 of the southern shores of Lough Neagh. Public Benefit Statement In setting our objectives and planning our activities for Ihe year the trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries. The benefits of Loughshore Care Partnership are both clear and directly related to the charity's aims and objectives. These benefits are and will be demonstrated through surveys of satisfaction al the end of any course, increased attendance at relevant meetings and advice and guidance sought by members. The charity beneficiaries are people living in the Lough Neagh area and the surrounding areas. Reserves Pollcy The Trustees conlinue to monitor and update the reserves policy in order to establish the level of reserves that are required to continue to provide support and investment into all the projects for the next twelve months. The Trustees have a resetves target of six months running costs and continue to work towards this target.

ANNUAL REPORT for the financial year ended 31 March 2023 Loughshore Care Partnership Chairman's Report The senior citizens, groups, under Loughshore Care Partnership, continue to support the elderly people of the rural Loughshore catchment area with renewed energy after the adversity of the Pandemic. Our group volunteers deseNe great praise for their loyalty and dedication to the senior citizens, ensuring that they have a safe and friendly place to thal, build friendships and engage in varied activities. The volunteers continue to support those still hesitant to return to the clubs through regular phone calls. Without our funders we would not be able to bring such a seNice and such a varied programme of activities to the senior citizens. Our funders include Southem Health and Social Care Trusl, Department of Communities, ABC Council. National Lottery, Garfield Western, Halifax, Sir Jules Thom. Danske Bank, LFT Charitable Trust, Albert Hunt Trust, Arts Council Nl, Homebase. and Loughshore AC$$ and Community Enterprise {LACE) . We are particularly indebted to the SHSCT. We value the seiCe Level Agreement we have in place with it, allowrng us to meet insurance, rental, administration, and general running costs. I, as Chair, along with Mary Mc Alinden met with their representative in February 2023 to discuss our joint commitments. Hen, we carried out a reprofiling and adjustments were made accordingly. Thus, we no longer outsource administralion. We also wish to thank DART Partnership for their significant assistance, ensuring that senior citizens have transport to the dubs each week. Many drivers are volunteers. and they carry out their tasks with due care and consideration to the elderly. The Loughshore Minds Matter project is also making such a difference to the engagement and entertainment of the senior citizens. This project. led by Hazel who brings so much energy and creativity are lo be commended PROJECTS: Famil Choices. Family Choi$ is a community-led initiative project designed to support families who are going through the dfficult experience of caring for a family member at the end of their life and providing support to their loved ones after their passing. The project is managed by Bernadette Donnelly. with staff members named Catherine Brady and Renata Juraske. The primary goal of the project is to offer holistic support to these families. This support encompasses practical assistan and emotional support to help address the various needs and challenges that families face during this critical period in their lives. The project acknowledges and appreciates the dedication and hard work of the staff members involved in delivering its services. Additionally, the project recognises the support it receives from The National Lottery as one of its specific funders. Lou hshore Minds Matter. The Loughshore Mind Matter project aims to provide vital support to the rural community living along the southern shores of Lough Neagh. Our goal is to offer a variety of interventions and activilies Sultable for people of all ages, addressing the adverse effects of isolation experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic on their mental well-being. The project coordinator, Hazel Boland, has actively engaged with local groups and collaborated with staff from the ABC Council and the Trust to secure additional support. Notably. we've facilitated the presence of the Cancer Focus Bus at various venues in recent months. This project is funded through the Department of health and the Community Foundation. 4omes un Humour Loosel Woven Art ect -his project combines our rich cultural heritage of local folklore. music, and perfomiance. Post-lockdown. our Senior Itizen were hesitant lo resume activities at the Weekly Day Care SeNice, this project was aimed to encourage iarticipation and engagement to unite our communities. 11 featured slorytelling workshops, traditional crafts, and nter-generational events featuring stories. food. music, and dance. This project was funded by the Arts Council Nl. Can Cook Will Cook ro ect. Through this project, Loughshore Care Partnership wanted to be proactive in encouraging those older people who attend the Day Care Centres and show them how easily it can be to enjoy making good nutritious meals when they are at home. Even if they are just cooking for one there is a lot of pleasure lo be gained in having a delicious home cooked meal. Local lady Pauline Skelton delivered a series of cookery and food sampling demonstrations at each of the Day Care Centres and all participants received a slow cooker. This project was funded by the Community Foundation.
