Objectlves and Actlvltles
Aims and Objertlves
To advance the work of evangelical mi55ionary societtes, whose doctrinal bases are fr>unded on the verbal Inspiration of the
scrlptures of the old and new testafflents, as 0￿gInallY given and whose aim is to call sinners in repentance to God to be
saved by grdce alone, through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ. To fund religious activities, provide overseas aidlfamlne
relief, to assist with poverty relief, to finance the supply of rnedicines and médical care and to provide health and general
education for both adults and chlldren.
Slgnlficant Activities
The Charity finances missionary socleties work in the provision of hosplta15 and schools and aids wlth the publicatK)n of
literature and provlsion of supplies for such publlcatlons. It also provides financial sUPPOrt for translation of the bible and
other rell9ious literature and for the care of orphans and others in need.

2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The flnancial statements have been prepared in accordance wlth the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 "Accounting and
Reporting by Charltles.. Statement of Recommended Practlce appllcable io charitie5 preparing thelr accounts In
accordance with the Financial Reportlng Standard applicable In the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 leffective I
January 20191. Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable In the UK and Republlc
of Ireland" and the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
The charlty is a Public Benefit Entlty as defined by FRS 102.
2.2. Fund Accounting
UnrestActed funds can be used In accordance wSth thè charitable objectlves at the discretion of the trustees.
Deslgnaled funds comprise unrestrlcted funds that have been set asi¢Je by the trustees for a specific purpose.
Restrlrted funds are ro be used for specific purposes as laid down by the donor.

2.3. Incoming Resources
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Actlvlties once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is
probable that the income will be received and the amount can t)e measured rellably.
2.4. Resource$ Expended
Llabllities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there Is a legal or construcbve obligation committing the charity to
that expenditure. it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits wlll be required in settlement and the amount of
the obligation can be meaSU￿d reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on
an accruals basis and has been classifled under headings rhat aggregate all cost related to the category. Wherè costs
cannot be directly attributed to particular headings, they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with
the use of resources.
2.5. Investment Propertles
All investment properties are carried at fair value determlned annually and derived from the current market ￿ntS and
investment property yields for comparable real estate, adjusted if necessary for any dSfference in rhe nature, location
or conijition of the Specific asset. No depreciatlon is provided for. Changes In fair value a￿ recognised in the statement
of financial attivities.
2.6. C•$h and Cash Equivalents
Cash and cash equivalents are basic financial assets and Include cash in hand and deposits held at call with banks.

2.7. Financial Instruments
Financial assets and financial liabilsfies a￿ recogni5ed when the Charity becomes a party to the contrattual provlslons
of the instrument. Finandal liabillties and equity instruments are classlfled accordlng to the substance of the
contrattual arrangements entered Into. An equity Instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the
assets of the Charity after deducttn9 all of its liabilitie5.
Recognition and measurement.
All financial assets and liabilities are initially measured at transactlon price (including transartion costs), except for
those flnanclal assets classified as at fair value through profit or loss, which are initially measured at fair value (which
is norrnally the transaction price excluding transaction costs), unless the arr3ngement constilutes a financlng
transartion. If an arrangement constitutes a financing trnnsaction, the financial asset or financial liability 15 rneasured
at the present value of the future payments discounted at a rtlarket rate of interest for a similar debt instrufflent.
Flnancial assets and liabilities are only oftset in the statement of financial positlon when, and only when there exlsts a
legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts ané Ihe Charity intends either to settle on a net basis, or to
reallse the asset and Settle the liability simultaneously. Financial a55ets a￿ derecognised when and only when al the
contractual rights to the cash flows from the financial asset expire or are settled, bl the Charity transfers to another
party substantially all of the risks and rewards of ownership of the financial assot, or cl the Charity, despite having
retained some, but not all, significant risks arKI rewards of ownershipi has transferred control of the asset to another
party. Financial liabilities are derecognised only when the obli9ation specified in the corntratt is discharged, cance51ed or
expires.
