Report of the trustees of Friends of Rosetta
This report covers the period September 2021 to August 2022
This report has been made in accordance with the Northern Ireland Charity Commission’s public benefit guidance. The Association of the Friends of Rosetta (FoR) was registered as a charity in order to fulfils its charitable purposes of: the advancement of education, citizenship and community development through making grants available and organising fund raising and social events for children and adults.
The school year started off with a recycling uniform sale on Monday 23[rd] August 2021 with donations received as part of mitigation measures due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The first meeting of the 2021-22 school year took place via Google Meet on Wednesday 17[th] November 2021 and it was great to welcome 5 new parents to Friends of Rosetta and the WhatsApp Group.
Friends of Rosetta organised the annual Christmas raffle in December 2021 donating items for hampers which raised £935 for the school.
A Christmas trip to the cinema for Children was an end of year treat with transport costs provided by Friends of Rosetta.
Friends of Rosetta also purchased and wrapped books for the children to receive as a Christmas present in December 2021.
Friends of Rosetta met in person on Wednesday 27[th] April 2022 to organise the annual Summer Fair and welcomed 3 new parents to Friends of Rosetta meetings.
The Summer Fair took place on Saturday 28[th] May (first summer fair since 2019) and raised £3,890.
19 stalls were organised with staff, parents and pupils all volunteering.
A highlight of the summer fair was our new ECO stall organised by Ms Tumelty and the pupils in the ECO committee.
