Pennyburn Community Playgroup (JO Maybrook ATC, Racecourse Road BT488NG 02871350122 10754438647 A.G.M 29 November 2023 Secretary's report I would like to welcome everyone, my name is Andrena Thompson I am the committee secretary for Pennyburn Con)munity Playgroup th Our last AGM was held 20 Iyovember 2022 and the minutes of the AGM were approved and signed by the chairperson Ydt an office beydrers meeting held in December 2022 The Playgroup was established to provide pre-school children Ivith stimulating early year's provision and preparation In a warm and caring environment. We cater for preschool aged children from all areas. The playgroup provides in partnership with parents/carers a wide, varied and positive curriculum, consisting of educational play activities, role play and social integration. In addition the Playgroup provides support aDd advice to parents. The Playgroup has received a £3000 grant from Derry & StrabAne Council the grant funding will help with the ever increydsing costs of core funding e.g. The children's breakfast & afternoon lunch breaks also fruit & snacks but nfortunately not for wages, we have been relying on fundraising for staff wages and we really appreciate all the support you as Parents/Carers have given us from September. We are a community group and have not raised our fees in 4 years as other groups have. If you Yds parents 2nd carers have any ideas for fundraising events please speak to a committee or staff member. Also as part of the outer schools program we can offer your children Talking to our babies program.
