**Purposes:** The Association is established for the preservation and protection of health, the relief of poverty, sickness and distress among the inhabitants living in the Whitecross area and their environs in South Armagh who are suffering or have suffered as a result of the conflict in Northern Ireland, their relatives and carers, and in particular:  a) to support social inclusion and foster an atmosphere of mutual support and encouragement among persons so affected throught the provision of educational, social and recreational activities.
