Independent examfiner's report to the charlty tru$tee$ of Derry Masonlc Fund We report on thc accounts ot'the Derry Masonic Fund for the year ended 31 December 2023, which are set out on pages 5 to 6. Respective responslbilitles of charlty trustees and examlner As the charity's trusteGs you are responsible for the preparaiion of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. It is our responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act follow the proc¢dures laid down in the general Directions 8iven by the Commission under section 65(9)(b) of the Lharitics Act • state whether particular matters have come to our attention. AwaTdcd 5evcnty eight small grants to deserving widows of deceased bTethT¢n. Thes¢ grants have been used by the individual recipients to mitigatc, all be 1¢ in a small way, additional living costs incunrd around Christmas. 2. Extendd two grants of assistance on the grounds of ill health or disability to br¢thrcn and ihc familics of brcthrcn to assist with th¢ provision of suitablc equipment and adaplion of accommodation, or the additional living costs associated with their disability. 3. Ext¢nded one grant of assistsnce on the grounds of economic hardship to brethren and the familie5 of brcthrcn whose changc in CilCUTll5tances had Tcsujtcd in a reduction in income or one•off unexpected expense. The results of the eharity's activities during the year and of its Posltion at the year end are included in the Receipts and payments account on pagc 5 and th¢ Statement of assets and liabilitlC5 on page 6.
