Isobel Carrick
Here is an outline of the work of 'Helping Others Worldwide, f or the year
2023/2024:
The beginnirvj of 2023 was spent accumulating. sorting. packing and
documenting materials which had been donated in preparation for
f or the next container.
Plans were made to send a container to Ziguinchor, Senegal. God
willin9. This will help equip a new medical and maternity clinic which
is under construction, led by Tenebou and Bethan Manga who serve
with Unevangelised Fields Mission (UFM). The clinics will be
invaluable for the people livin9 in this remote region, with
practically no medical resources currently avai lable.
In November 2023, this 40-foot container bound for Senegal was
loaded from the HOW warehouses. Contents included steelwork
for the roof of the clinics. along With a lar9e amount of hospital
equipment, medical consumables. and many other provisions to meet
the needs of those in that area.
It is planned that a team of men from a local church will 90 Out to
erect the roof on the medical and maternity clinics in 2024.
Plans are underway f or a container to Ambassadors Footl)all, Dakar,
Senegal in 2024. This will equip the teams there as they reach out
to the locals through the medium of sport.
In April 2024 it was decided that two of our committee members,
Gavin Edgar. and his wife Clare, along With William Purdy and his
wife Hazel, should be accepted as co-helpers for the work of HOW
in a practical way. At present this is mainly packin9, sorting,
countin9, and weighing materials. as well as loading the containers.
In their new 'associate' role. they are able to work independently of
Ernest and Isobel when required. Clare and Hazel are also keen to
assist with paperwork and other aspects of administration. If they
are willing, this arrangement could extend f urther in the future.
HOW has been able to continue to donate several parcels of baby
materials to be carried by hand to South East Asia to assist
workers there as they reach out to people in the remote villages.
The committee have continued to meet regularly to plan and
discuss all aspects of the work.

Our dedicated team of workers have continued to assist
throu9hout the year. We are very appreciative of their help and
their encouragement.
Donations for the work have continued to be supplied in an amazing
way. These have been used for transportation of the containers
and to purchase some specific items requested which fulfil the
aims and objectives of 'HOW.'
We continue to keep our Networkers updated about the work
through correspondence and speaking at meetin9S.
We are thankful to God for His constant faithfulness throu9hout
another year.
